    This bullpen has been phenomenal, but there is now an influx of relievers. It will be interesting to see what happens. There are September 1 call ups, then free agency. Sox could also trade one of the young bullpen studs for a team need in the offseason.

    Yes. I'm aware of that now. Read my post on the last spot of page 8. It's hard to leave the outside world for 3 weeks and remember everything that is going on.

    Oh right. I actually forgot about Bailey. I'm a bit out of the loop. I'm just getting back into the civilized world. I knew he was out, but forgot why. Let me update the list.

    Yes, but if Bailey leaves, then Koji is the full time closer, which he can probably only handle for a year. Tazawa could fill in though...

    They need a lefty (Miller), and they've been pleased with Koji and satisfied with Bailey. They don't really need to do a whole lot to the pen, and Tazawa was the odd man out. Since I have Morales leaving, I see them picking up another lefty. Tazawa could tough be to decide. He could honestly go either way.

    What is it about Yu Darvish and Houston? Second time he's come close there this year.

    Keep in mind the looming September 1 call ups. Xander could get called up then, and this could really be a trial period for Will to determine if he has a future with this team. If he stays, Xander can play SS with no conflict with Iglesias being gone. If he does not, Xander can play third. The Sox have plenty other prospects at SS, but they might have to wait awhile.

    Back from my camp, and leaving for Cape Cod shortly. Missed some good Sox games. Looking forward to seeing Peavy pitch. Also found out that an incoming senior at my high school was killed in a car accident on my street early Tuesday morning. Wow. All news aside, how's everyone doing? I can't wait to settle in to this pennant race.
