    That's the kicker for me. I don't quite believe in JBJ yet from the offensive side of things. If we had an OF prospect that was the equivalent of a Bogaerts or Dan Butler, than I would feel a little better. I would rather see Shane move over to CF.

    Yes I do. I agree with you for the most part. I'm just concerned that Tanaka won't be successful in his first, maybe even second year. The tough transition is going to aggravate the pitching coach and manager of which ever team signs him, and they might end up giving up on him or giving him a lesser role, like a demotion to the pen. It's such a risk with Japanese pitchers. If you spend too much, it can come back and bite you in the ass.

    I'm torn on this issue. We have an excess amount of outfielders. I can understand letting Ells walk, but he had one of his best regular seasons this year, excluding his 30 HR season a few years back. He's valuable to this team. He can get himself into scoring position in key moments of the game. He's had a great run, but all personal opinions aside, I think he needs to stay.

    I'm always hesitant when it comes to Japanese pitchers. It's so different pitching over here. There have only been a few success stories in recent years: Darvish, Kuroda, and Nomo come to mind. The hype is always the same, but the success in the US isn't a gimme.

    I really can't see this team without Ells. Along with Lester, Pedey, and Papi, they've been on the team as long as I can remember being a fan. I wouldn't want to see any one of them leave.

    Wow. That's a big project. All I've done is cut out every Sox related story from yesterday's sports section and tape it on to the wall. When the next Sports Illustrated comes, I'll do the same thing with that.

    After a day of hearing from Yankees fans and even a few Sox fans that the only reason we won is because of the Marathon Bombings, I thought about it closely and decided to ask the question.     Yeah. I'm thinking the same way. Sad to see it end, but greatly deserved and anticipating the title defense season.

    I would deal Lavarnway. Once Ross is done, we have Butler ready to go. There's also no way we can have Xander, WMB, and Cecchini coexist on the left side. Seeing Will as the bench player there in the coming years, assuming XB and Cecchini play as we expect them to. I don't want to see a trade for Will, but there may not be room for him.

    Ells is definitely worth it, and so is Nap. One reason I say that is because they are the only two player shirts I have right now. Anyway, I do think Drew gets the boot eventually. Not necessarily next season, but maybe 2015. Xander needs to prove himself over the course of a long season before I'd be willing to make him the next SS or 3B. As for OF, I hope they all return. I really do. I love Gomes, can't imagine the team without Nava or Ells, and Vic is just too valuable and dangerous. Same with Nap. Yes he K's a lot, but it's worth having him around.
