  1. I come back from camp to see an overall well played game. Rubby looked good again, and Cespedes is producing, what we got him for, I looked though the highlights and saw of the Yoenis defense that we know and love, as well as some more JBJ defense. I'm really looking forward to 2015. We just need 1 or 2 quality SPs and we can easily be WS bound. I love all of the moves that were made, and am saying that now with this being the first chance I have to comment on it. On a side note, the tandem of WMB at 3B, and XB at SS is what I've wanted all along, or at least until Cecchini is ready. When he is, we can use Will as trade bait to get one of those pitchers, maybe even this offseason.
  2. Send me off to Maine for 3 weeks with a win! Another opportunity to take advantage of a solid yet porous lefty. We've played pretty well against lefties recently, minus Oberholtzer.
  3. Psyched to see Shane come back. Too bad I'm leaving for camp tomorrow for 3 weeks.
  4. I really like Josh Donaldson right now. He's everything that I try to be when I'm playing. That walk off bomb to sink the O's made my day.
  5. Funny how that's true even though we've won 5 of the last 6.
  6. Sox are starting to show that they can come back in games. Last two White Sox games, and the Astros game last Saturday, even though we lost as well as tonight. A great sign moving forward with this team.
  7. Once again, I love you, Brock Holt.
  8. I'll take that E6 right now.
  9. If the Yankees are out of the playoffs, I think we can go all out to give him a good experience. If they are heading to October, we can hold something back and keep it simple.
  10. Shut the f*** up Harold Reynolds!
  11. Jonny can do better than that.
  12. No. Just no. He will always be my favorite player.
  13. I didn't say I agreed with it.
  14. Thank you all. A trip to camp for 3 weeks will certainly ease my soul.
  15. Alright, the Dodgers just scored 7 runs in a 4 game series against San Diego, and won 3 out of 4. The games they won were 2-1, 1-0, and 1-0. Why can't the Sox be able to do this?
  16. I missed all of this for a memorial service for my grandfather, a longtime diehard Sox fan. Fitting that we would have a great day on the day my family said goodbye. Overall, I'm pleased again with Vazquez. He has hit well since coming up, contrary to the Mookies and JBJs of the world. Plus, he's a catcher. Keep throwing up those numbers at the plate, and he'll be playing everyday. Still need to work on capitalizing with RISP. That bases loaded thing in the first shouldn't have happened. And I'm not convinced about Clay, because, well, these are the Astros, who combined for 18 hits in the whole series, against the Red Sox' 41. Great offensive showing this weekend, certainly a great sign moving forward.
  17. I think he'll only consider leaving if he still hasn't won a title. If he does come to DC, I'll become a Wizards fan, because I'll be too distraught that he even left OKC in the first place.
  18. The look on my aunt, uncle, and cousins' faces today when they heard the news today was priceless. They're in town for both a wedding celebration and a funeral, but are dedicated Cleveland sports fans that live about 30 minutes out of the city. I'm glad he's back, mainly for this reason.
  19. I am loving this game right now. We are doing things that we haven't done since last year. Granted, we are playing the Astros.
  20. JBJ will win multiple good gloves in his career. He has hit a little better this season with RISP. We definitely know his potential at the plate. He has gone through a massive swing overhaul, which could explain the subpar numbers. An outfield of him, Mookie, and possibly Holt if we lose Drew, move X to SS, and keep WMB, will be a fun thing to watch in the coming years.
  21. This outing has lifted Sale into the lead for the All Star final vote. Think Farrell will let him pitch? I think not.
  22. This I agree with. I could have stated the point in a better way. I hate to say it, but last season was almost a fluke, boosted by the bombings. Pro sports usually find a way to be rigged like that, where a team facing adversity goes far. Before you bring up the 2001 Yankees, and how they should have won the WS, that team was part of a dynasty. Last year's Sox team was not. 2010 was marred by injuries, 2011 was stupid, 2012 was just a complete failure. They just flat out over performed last year.
  23. Holt really has to swing at better pitches. His plate discipline is out of whack. He let two perfect pitches go by him in that last AB.
