  1. Funny how that .250 BA is around his norm for the season, but it seems so much better with the rest of the offense doing so poorly until these last few days.
  2. I would send Will to Portland. AA is the better place to prepare for and get used to the big leagues. It's where all of the top prospects are, and where most prospects get judged the most.
  3. Exactly. That just highlights the need for 1 or 2 quality starters.
  4. STFU. At least the Skanks are above .500 despite the whole rotation being hurt. Don't you think we have bigger problems?
  5. If nothing changed with the roster, I definitely like DLR, Ranaudo, Workman, Kelly, and Buchholz as a possible rotation. That's not necessarily in order, though. If one of them doesn't pan out, I'd substitute them for Webster or maybe even Matt Barnes.
  6. Assuming he gets called up on September 1, Cecchini could be the future at 3B. He would get that month to see how he could handle big league hitting. As for CF, a FA may be the answer, but I'm not opposed to JBJ and Betts sharing time out there. Actually, change everything. If Shane's healthy next year, we have him in RF or LF if we trade Cespedes for Giancarlo, JBJ/Betts in CF, Cespedes/Victorino in LF, and Brock at 3B. How does that sound?
  7. JBJ's WAR will be soaring if he can hit at .260 or higher. His defense is worth having on the field, no matter how badly he is hitting.
  8. Not sure about Céspedes, but Ranaudp looked good. Gave up a couple solo shots in a bad inning, but managed everything else quite well. I think he'll be in the rotation at some point in the future.
  9. That water tastes better with a broom.
  10. This team is starting to become fun to watch again. Mark my words... 2015 Champs
  11. Certainly takes the load off Ortiz's shoulders.
  12. Okay, JBJ just got a hit. No GT mojo until further notice.
  13. I would ask for a new GT, but we're already up 1-0.
  14. Very good point. I wasn't aware of this before. You can't survive in the majors without watching film. We even watch film on my high school team when there's a pitcher we are going to face that has a good slider or breaking ball.
  15. One thing I have noticed is that since the trades, our starting pitching has been pretty good. Kelly just had one bad inning with a couple of walks, but after that, he was lights out. The games we've lost since the trade have all been pretty close. We now have another offensive weapon who can help us win games, and I'm really optimistic about the end of this season and next season. We are going to get hot and make a run soon. We still won't make the playoffs, but will salvage the season by winning 75-80 games, maybe more. But next year, well that's a different story. I would like everyone to meet the 2015 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox.
  16. Céspedes' gloves is still A's colors.
  17. Joe Kelly: More steals than half of the Red Sox lineup combined.
  18. So I guess Joe Kelly is a better hitter than AOJ.
  19. Not a good first impression on Kelly.
  20. Well, that's not why we got Cespedes.
  21. I actually like this lineup. My first game seeing Kelly, first full game seeing Céspedes.
  22. Mets just put Granderson on waivers. Think Cherington will go get him?
  23. Who do we call up?
  24. What PED cloud? Any of those rumors died off ages ago. He won't get in his first round, but not because of PED's.
  25. I look to this upcoming 11 game homestand as the last chance for both to truly break out. Xander has shown signs recently, from what I know, which isn't much since I was away.
