  1. If he is 17%, he's been fooling all of us with how fatty his muscles look.
  2. No, but a college girl across the street will.
  3. No one good lives near me. Just an old man who hates me and another old man who tolerates me... Kind of like you guys. I wish there was a girl next door, or something like that. There is a new house being built across the street from my next door neighbors, so there's potential...
  4. That time might not work for me, but I'll get back to you. It's marked on my calendar as baseball tryouts, but apparently there's some rule against having tryouts/practice so many days in a row, and having them on that day would break that rule, and the coach is old enough to be losing track of such things. If it does conflict, any time in the afternoon or evening would be okay.
  5. Nope.
  6. What a time to put the phone down and go to bed!
  7. I hate to do this again, but can we all agree to let me have AJ Pollock? You guys can take anyone you know personally.
  8. If we keep Hanigan through Opening Day, it will cause either Swihart or Vasquez to start the season at Pawtucket. Logistically, it would not be possible to keep 3 catchers on the active big league roster, and there's no way they'll let go of Hanigan before that, since right now, they want and need his veteran presence and experience to make both Swihart and Vasquez even better defensively. My point is that it would be a shame to have either one of them be demoted, but it is almost a certainty.
  9. @RedSox just tweeted a video of the right side of the IF taking grounders. Hanley looked comfortable at first, and made a nice scoop out of the dirt on a throw from Holt, who was swapping in with Pedey, although I couldn't really tell who the 3 or 4 guys were at second. I'm assuming it was those two because I heard Pedey yelling while a similarly short white guy was throwing.
  10. Hanley's from last year would be a good fit. Song is called "Choices."
  11. I can always count on you to shoot me down. I wouldn't want to be a plane flying over your airspace.
  12. I'm just as good as Kimmi in the math area... I'd say he's hovering at about 300. If the team really sees it as a problem, they could realistically make him get down to 275 or so by Opening Day. But who says it's a problem? We all watched CC fall apart after losing weight, which now seems like it was due to alcoholism, not weight loss, but the point still stands. As long as his range at 3rd isn't too diminished, it shouldn't be that big of an issue. On the other hand though, shedding pounds could add a significant amount of power. There's this kid at my school who could rake before, but he lost 30 pounds this offseason and now he's scary good.
  13. You know, I actually had a revelation the other day that we should trade Pedey. Last year I thought you were crazy because the kid inside of me was still inspired by him and his story, and how physically, we're almost the same. He was also the longest tenured homegrown Sox player that I remember debuting. But, looking back, he's kind of overrated and has been relatively injury prone. The biggest reason why we should keep him is because at least right now, I don't think we can get a better, more loyal 2B.
  14. I do think Vazquez and Swihart will benefit each other and push each other on. I just have a feeling deep down that this will be a year for offensive injuries. I'm not saying it will significantly affect the win loss total because of the production despite the holes in the lineup that UN? mentioned, but I think pitching and defense will be better than the offense.
  15. I don't know about this one. I've never liked Wright, and don't really trust Workman in the long run. I do think the rotation is okay, and that the weakness of the team this year will be offense, as crazy as that might sound. I see the 6-9 guys you mentioned as possible trade bait, save for Owens. I think there will be more injuries on offense than in the rotation. If so, at least it would be nice to have a really good rotation for once, since it's not like Price will struggle in the AL East. After all, he's played for 60% of its teams.
  16. You mean to say I actually have potential to do things with my life?
  17. I'm too lazy to look it up: When's the draft?
  18. I don't know to be scared or excited that I have the chance to steamroll YOTN.
  19. Agreed. He's a bigger, stronger Brock Holt, obviously with more power. His specialty is OF as well, contrary to Holt. The role of a utility player is much more vital now than it has been at any point since the steroids era.
  20. I don't expect Marmol to last very long. From the viewpoint of my naked eye, Dombrowski doesn't really like wild cards. He got rid of Dontrelle Willis in Detroit just before he spiraled into oblivion, and I've always associated Willis with Marmol and Zambrano, especially the latter, but the point still stands.
  21. Correct. And that is the biggest underlying issue. I would have liked to see some sort of insurance option. Even if he does struggle in April and May, his defense is still much too valuable to send to Pawtucket.
  22. I disagree with most of the PECOTA picks for division winners. Tampa has to be the lest likely team to win the East in my mind, and I don't know if the Guardians are ready to get past KC yet, even though they are rising quickly. Astros? Sure, because the rest of the West looks down this year. The only division in the NL I disagree with is the West. Scully's swan song won't propel the Dodgers to 1st. Watch out for the Arizona Fightin' Greinkeschmidts.
  23. Let's not overlook the fact that this guy also has a very serious addiction, or so it appears. This is a very serious matter. The only thing one can really do at this point is to pray that he receives the best help, and gets over it. It's similar to all this Johnny Manziel stuff, or even Josh Gordon (no wonder why the Browns are so dysfunctional). Both are incredible talents, but they're reoccurring problems have always been ignored. Now, it's caught up to them, and costing them their lives, never mind their careers, and they're helpless. As a relatively decent human being, I'd like to hope that Meija doesn't fall down the chute. Granted, he's not a huge star, but the same kind of helpless addiction is what killed Tony Gwynn.
  24. Oh yes. I managed to overlook Castillo in this scenario. To be frank, I don't really like him. If we played in any other ballpark, I would suggest just sticking him out there in left, but we saw how that worked with Hanley last year.
  25. I love the pictures as well. It helps me realize the fact that David Price is actually a Red Sox player. I thought I was dreaming for 3 months. It also reminds me how close I am to the start of my quest to atone for last year's atrocity, even though it was -12 when I woke up yesterday. I cannot wait for baseball season. I have a new bat that is called the Air Force One. It's covered in Stars and Stripes. Making the school team will make my year.
