I was thinking the same thing, and that was the major reason for making the GT today. I felt it. But, it didn't happen. One thing I've noticed last night and today was that the Sox look lethargic. They were saying on the broadcast last night how they got into NY at 5:30 AM on Friday morning. Another Sunday Night game isn't going to help that. They better find a way to sleep in and rest on Monday, and come ready to play at home on Monday. This is a crucial homestand. Both Oakland and Houston are off to slower starts. If we go 5-2 or better against them, we can cement ourselves as being for real in 2016.
I appreciate your efforts in this thread, YOTN, and I agree that we need to point out the influx in new threads. It had started to irk me just a tad. But the bold above is not sitting well with me. I turned 13 a few months after joining this place, and I think we can all agree that I have the cleanest vocabulary on the site. Stereotypes like those are what is killing life as we know it.
I'm not concerned. As a700 has said, he will likely warm up with the weather, if that ever happens. His one warm weather start was the 14 K game in Atlanta.
Welcome! Hope to see more of you. I'm so happy that we've had such an influx of quality guys joining this place, even if it meant the closing of such another great forum.
Yep. Except for Young and Hanigan. They don't deserve the steak.
It's definitely the offense that has been bailing him out, because the other starters like Wright and Porcello have no impact on whether or now the Sox win the game that Price pitches I'm sure they offer him moral support and what not, but they can only control the days in which they pitch. You have to feel bad for Wright though. He hasn't lost a game yet that he deserved to lose, while Price has only won 2 games that he deserved to win.
After just seeing what ESPN said during the pregame, I have realized that the end of Big Papi's career, whenever it may come, and I'm not concerned with when that is, but whenever his career ends, my childhood will end.
It's not raining now, and the highest chance of rain during the game hours is 40% right at 7-8 PM. I'd say it's doable. The same system is parked over me in CT, and it really hasn't rained all day, even though there's rain on top of us on the radar.
There are currently 6 announcers whose voices and calls I scramble to hear daily via highlights on mlb.com. They are Thorne, Scully, Kay, the Kuipers (OAK and SF), and Hawk. I don't think I would hate Hawk.
