  1. Absolutely. I follow closely along any time there's a CT team in Williamsport, and the fact that I can't stop saying Walla Walla only makes this game more intriguing. I might even give the Giants-Browns MNF game some love as well.
  2. Totally. When I do a game, I get a lot of talk from either bench in the first few innings because I tend to call the outside strike. But, once they realize that I call that pitch for the entire game, they stop their chattering.
  3. See, BstHcpr, what you don't understand, is that people on these boards are capable of having civilized disagreements. I might have been overestimating Porcello's season. I'm not a big stat guy, and since I haven't watched as many games as I would've liked to this season, I was just going off what I've seen of Porcello. Ted know that, and was providing the stats that I didn't have to back up my argument. He's not destroying me, he's giving me more information to allow me to come to the conclusion on my own, if indeed I was wrong about Porcello. There's nothing wrong with it. Maybe if you stopped blindly insulting me for no reason whatsoever (I still don't know what I ever did to you to deserve being the butt of 95% of your posts), you would understand that not everybody in this world is out to get somebody else. Maybe you're just jealous that an 18 year old kid can put out more quality posts than you, and earn the respect of adults that are supposed to be your peers, while you can't even contribute anything positive to this forum.
  4. The biggest X-Factor for Porcello over the course of his career has been the HR ball. Obviously, he was giving them away in the first half. Last season, and so far since the start of July, he's done a fantastic job of keeping the ball in the ballpark. The problem with a ground ball pitcher is that eventually, you're going to have to throw the ball up in the zone. At some point, you'll get burned, but from what I've seen, he's good at adjusting and just playing his own game.
  5. I could've gone to at least one of the games in this series. My uncle has Guardians season tickets that he almost always sells online. Strangely enough, he has Browns season tickets as well. But, since I leave on Friday, it wasn't the best idea. It's too bad, because I'm one of the few people on earth that loves Cleveland. Beautiful city. Win. Dance. Repeat. x2
  6. All I'm saying is that on any given night, I trust Porcello more than E-Rod, Fister, and Price.
  7. There it is. I knew he had two bad months.
  8. IIRC, most of that came in April and May. Going only off my head, I'd say he's been pretty solid since June
  9. Umm, I thought he was pitching well even when he was piling up all those losses. Lacking run support really makes you look worse than you are.
  10. Yes, I agree. I cringe at those moments. The game isn't about us, it's about the players.
  11. Well, Big Dick Rick beat him, so I'm not too upset about us not getting him
  12. For years, I've always been more scared of Betances than Chapman
  13. I feel like no matter how good you are, if you face the same team so many times, eventually, they're gonna get you.
  14. Yes! That's it. I knew the umpires in that game were fantastic, but I wasn't aware that West was one of them
  15. I don't see him as a DH though. His defense is too good to bench, but at the same time, our outfield is too good to mess with. I've never been supportive of the Sox signing Stanton
  16. Great catch by JBJ, better reaction by the bullpen cop
  17. Don't worry, it's coming. Last night, down 6-3, and Wednesday, down 4-2, I thought we were toast. I'll take something from 2004 here: Keep the Faith
  18. Looks like more of a fat ball to me, the CC special.
  19. Get the train moving here
  20. And there was the first leg of the doubleheader in July, but that was also when we were in the midst of that hapless RISP drought
  21. Can somebody remind me of this game? I think I know what you're talking about. Personally, I've always respected umpires. Being one myself, I know how tough it is. You have to have the mindset of not being there to make friends, because, well, all of the players and coaches see you as inferior
  22. I think he just needs more playing time
