  1. I don't know about that pick. As long as it's in the top two or three, I think they'll hold onto it. This is one of the better draft classes in recent years.
  2. Josh Harrison hits a walk off HR to lead off the 10th, breaking up the no-no. Just cleared the short porch in LF. Wouldn't be a HR anywhere else. Might have scraped the wall at Fenway.
  3. Yeah, but the game is scoreless, so it's not going to end if he does it.
  4. For sure. We saw it with Aaron Hill last year and John McDonald in 2013
  5. Calm down. We still got three against Oakland and three against Cincy
  6. Pomeranz gets luckier than a male virgin in the Playboy mansion
  7. Oh Holt you bum. That's a strike every day of the week. Stop crowding the plate and hit the ball
  8. Nothing like a guy who leaves the opposition wondering why they can't put anything together against him. Better to be lucky sometimes than good all the time.
  9. http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/red_sox/clubhouse_insider/2017/08/report_red_sox_to_acquire_rajai_davis_from_oakland_as Interesting move. Great veteran presence, great speed, born in Red Sox Nation. Should be a good fit, even if only meant to hold things over until JBJ gets back. I'll always remember the HR off Chapman in game 7 last year.
  10. For all of you in the MD/VA area, what happened to Gary Thorne? Orioles highlights are so much more tolerable without him.
  11. Just like Pedroia. When he did it, it always used to irritate me
  12. As a Thunder fan (not related to the username), I have no dog in this fight, but I'm just in total shock. I think both teams will be exponentially better, assuming the Celtics can re-sign Kyrie when his contract is up and assuming LeBron doesn't leave Cleveland after this year (which I highly doubt he'll do). But, man, watching IT in Boston this past year was so entertaining. I feel for the Celtics fans, especially the young ones, who fell in love with IT this past season, but I understand the motivation for trading him, the whole uncertainty thing about his hip injury.
  13. Alrighty, let's see if this Kluber guy is for real
  14. That's no excuse for making such a pointless, inaccurate thread.
  15. Even last year they had injuries, and they didn't let it stop them
  16. So if we really want to prove we're a WS contender, we need to be like the Dodgers and not skip a beat when people star getting hurt.
  17. Now I REALLY want to know what Brentz's dance move is
  18. I just saw the name of this thread (and the thread itself) for the first time, and my only reaction is: Are you kidding me? People actually think our bullpen sucks?
  19. Funny how the Kyrie-IT trade goes down the same night Boston and Cleveland are playing each other in baseball. Win. Dance. Repeat. x2
  20. I'm not sure if going back and forth all game counts as "stealing one".
  21. Flared up the knee injury that he just came back from.
  22. So, in other words, the classic human male mindset and reasoning?
