  1. I'm going to need a nap before, during, and after this game. It's that time of year. Win. Dance. Repeat. x3
  2. UConn's alert system was actually put to use a few hours ago, when we had a tornado warning over us. That storm was moving toward Boston, and there was a less severe one behind it. It's not constant rain, so yes, it has let up, but it's not done yet. And if it's not done here, then it's not done in Boston either
  3. Well he's a ground ball guy. When he misses, he gets a lot of fly balls. The Monster saves a bunch of those from going out, even though he does already allow a ton of home runs when he's not at his best. He's not that biggest guy you'll ever seen, but he has the perfect pitcher's body, and doesn't need to throw hard. I feel like a couple of other teams would try to turn him into a flamethrower, or something he's not. Maybe not now, but when he was younger definitely
  4. I still get nightmares about Chien-Ming Wang and I'm a Red Sox fan
  5. I think it will be great as well. It seems hard to think about now, but ideally, I will be married with a couple of kids. I'm 20 and have never had a girlfriend, so that's a scary thought since there's times I never think it's going to happen, but gotta stay positive. Hopefully, we'll be settled in a suburb somewhere outside either Houston, Nashville, New York, or Boston. Maybe I'll even stay in Connecticut. I want to leave CT, but I'm going to have a really hard time doing so.
  6. I'd say slim to none. Still better than being in Milwaukee this weekend. 5-8 inches of snow
  7. I apologize if this is a controversial opinion, but it seems to me like Rick Porcello was born to pitch for the Red Sox, based on his strengths, his physique, and his mentality. I don't know if they'll offer him, but I would hate to see him leave
  8. I really take advantage of the fact that I can do a full shoulder and spinal turn. I can't imagine what life's gonna be like in 25 years
  9. Thankfully, we don't have that problem. If we could have Leon's defense and game calling, paired with Vazquez's offense, we'd have a potential perennial all star. I know Vaz is very streaky at the plate, but our two catchers really compliment each other well. And boy, I have always been in love with Sandy. Definitely one of my favorite Red Sox players.
  10. Well, I don't quite mean it like that. If we're in a funk, I'll just not watch the game. Save myself the trouble. But, when we're rolling, I watch every inning of every game, and look forward to it all day. I used to be very animated and outspoken, but I've dialed it back. It's really helped my golf game, as a matter of fact
  11. Totally agree. Both pitching and offense is coming around. There was no way that both would remain that inept for the entire season as long as both were healthy
  12. I'm not a fan of negativity to begin with, but what really gets me is the complaining that we're winning. During the playoffs last year, most of the people on here just needed to shut up. I get you're nervous, and you really want it that bad, more than some of the players on some occasions, but why are you complaining when we win? It's not how, it's how many. I think we need to remember that sometimes.
  13. If we're going to be one of those teams that wins 3-4 in a row, and then loses 3-4 in a row, there's going to be a problem. A problem with my emotions, that is
  14. Wish I could relate. Instead, I grew up pretending I was Kobe or LeBron, rather than Havlicek. I'm not really a Celtics fan, but I've become so intertwined in the Boston culture, that this sure feels like one of my own. And I know some big Celtics fans that are hurting even more. RIP
  15. The good thing about our bullpen today is that it caused me to leg press a new personal best of 400 lbs. They made me so angry I went to the gym and reached new heights
  16. Sounds like something I would say when I first joined this place, back when I was 12
  17. Well, I'm glad I missed most of this one, but I'm not glad I'll miss game 2 and the Bruins game. It takes work to maintain a 100 average in a class. Win. Dance. Repeat
  18. Welcome to the dark side!
  19. Or, I could just enjoy being a fan. Ignorance is bliss
  20. It's funny to me how he took Swihart's number. Real slap in the face, but I like it
  21. Well, last year, everybody we called up seemed to have the magic touch. Those who didn't, like Beeks, were instantly dumped. I do trust Cora's judgment, as we all should, since none of us have an inside look into the clubhouse and organization
  22. That's what scouts relied on for years
  23. Why? I hate sabermetrics
  24. Meanwhile I'm in love with Chavis so far. I know it's an apples to oranges comparison, but still. And I think the Leon effect has already been seen on the rotation
  25. I am well aware of that. Simply speaking, he doesn't pass my eye test
