  1. This series we've been getting the breaks we weren't in the first two weeks
  2. I genuinely can't remember the last time Devers did not get on base
  3. There is actually some class here about marijuana. Not entirely sure it what capacity, however. They can't grow it, since it is not legal here yet. Safe to say that class filled up instantly
  4. The day Fenway gets rid of the Woo-WOO! will be the worst day of my life
  5. Well, they're scheduled to go next week while in Baltimore
  6. The Oakland A's in a nutshell:
  7. Going to the White House could really mess with the mojo this team has right now
  8. Even the worst hitters get a hit 1 or 2 times out of 10
  9. I don't care how, I care how many. Runs and wins, that is
  10. By that logic, saying that JBJ has a single and a line shot today means that he should never miss a game in CF for the next 10 years
  11. Have him sit on top of the wall and save balls from going out
  12. I like the way we've played over the last 48 hours. Flip the switch to May
  13. Damn what a wild game so far
  14. You don't like Stat Masterson?
  15. I wasn't questioning anything. Why do I always feel like you take shots at me?
  16. As long as JBJ's glove remains golden, I see no reason to ever dump him. And if he ever gets back to the ALCS MVP at the plate, then he'll have a special place in my heart
  17. What scares me is how well the Yankees are playing with mostly AAA position players. When they get healthy, we're going to be hearing a lot of "There it goes.... SEE YA" and "It is high, it is far, it is GONE"
  18. That was me last year, but I had like 12 wins by the end of April
  19. I'm the same way. Before I went to Spring Training, I told myself to be realistic this season. Even before the season started, odds were that we weren't going to repeat, since that is so hard to do. I had to temper my expectations, but I think it's helped me so far, and prevented me from absolutely losing my mind
  20. Somehow, we're 6-4 in the last 10. The 6 wins were all really good wins in their own way, whether it be the 3 close wins we got over Tampa led by pitching and clutch hitting, or the offense overpowering like it did last night and on Thursday. Those 4 losses, however, were ugly. Bad defense and an offense going dormant. We did face some good pitchers in that span (Morton, Glasnow, you could even throw Boyd in there). I'm curious to see what happens when every game at Fenway is played in the 70s, instead of the 40s and 50s. I feel like April is always a wild card.
  21. Part of that is because you're making GTs more often than the rest of us. I usually give my mojo a few weeks off after a loss. Would love the Boston sports trifecta tonight. Columbus, Milwaukee and Oakland won't know what hit them. In fact, it would be great if that other Oakland team lost as well. Win. Dance. Repeat. x2
  22. I'll admit it. I was ready to give up last night. I changed the channel after we got down 4-0, but thankfully, I came back to see all of the 3rd inning rally. Unless this finally turns a corner, however, it won't mean much. Right now, we're WAYYY too inconsistent. At least if we s*** the bed tonight, I can go watch the Bruins or Celtics
