  1. Not to single you out Yaz, but this stuff happens every SNB game. It honestly seems to me like multiple people on this board are sexist. That to me is the only explanation as to why you can't stand this crew. I hate A-Rod just as much as the next guy, but he's not a Yankee anymore, and he's more than a respectable broadcaster. Get over it. Mendoza is a phenomenal analyst. It's been proven time and time again. She gets nothing but positive marks from her ESPN co-workers. You don't have to like her, but don't not like her just because she's a woman calling a baseball game. In fact, get used to it.
  2. Pesky Pole living up to its name
  3. He's getting on my nerves now. Damn AJ
  4. I wore that dude's jersey (the same exact one he wore) my freshman year of HS. Poor timing, but wow
  5. See, I think that's a sign of the times, and highlights the generational gap. All the players now seem to be pretty good friends. Judge and Mookie get along well, and it's a common theme among all sports these days. The new generation of pro athletes have much more comradorie these days. Baseball rivalries aren't what they used to be, and baseball fans aren't what they used to be. People my age don't really hate our "rival" fans or teams. Football is different, but it's still evolved. Phio State fans have a strong disdain for Michigan fans and vice versa, but in many places they coexist. I think modern athletes have done a great job being role models for more respectful but still competitive behavior. We don't hate our rivals, we get along with them, pick their brains, and appreciate their achievements. Do we still want to beat them? Of course. It's human nature. But there's far less bad blood in sports today.
  6. Easy question here. No.
  7. No, it's called being a tolerant fan and respecting greatness in the game. The Yankees are doing something amazing this year with all the injuries. Hats off
  8. If we ever have robot umps, I'll stop watching baseball forever.
  9. Make the playoffs and lose to either NYY or HOU. Both teams are better than us and there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing the Astros, Dodgers or Yankees win the World Series if I'm being completely honest. Most of the people I care about in life are Yankees fans. Part of growing up in CT. Plus, Springer is on Houston, and Pollock is on LA
  10. Only reason it's portrait and not landscape is because I posted it on my Instagram story first. New favorite photo of Fenway
  11. Would have loved to see the NL CY and MVP on the same night, but it is what it is. Win. Dance. Repeat. Still have full faith in this team, even though I've known since November that we weren't winning the World Series this year
  12. Other than getting home at 2 AM, we had a great time last night
  13. They're actually wicked smaht. They told me who the other retired numbers were
  14. I'm still pissed over the 3-2 call on the first batter of the game
  15. Some hot girls the row in front of us just said that I should go into pitch... Should I run onto the field and try???
  16. It's all good. I just saw someone from my high school hit a HR. It's impossible to be in a bad mood at Fenway
  17. Absolutely a perfect day in Boston. Win. Dance. Repeat. x6 I'm in Bellinger foul ball country. Let's hope he doesn't straighten anything out
  18. Great game to start the 2nd half! Felt like 2018 I'm about to leave to head up to Boston. It's such a beautiful day, so we're going to go up early and do some sightseeing before watching a WS rematch for only $9. Hopefully Sale starts his turnaround this evening. I was surprised at how well we made Bellinger look human last night. Make him keep swinging and that offspeed stuff down and in
  19. So I'm trying to get Student 9's for Saturday, but they don't make them available until the day each homestand starts. What kind of system is that? They changed it recently. At least I'm not going tomorrow, or else I would be buying them on the day of the game. At least it's a good deal and great seats.
  20. And wow what a win today! Great way to head into the ASG. First game I've watched in almost a month and it felt a little like last year. You can say what you want about this team, but we have taken care of business against the teams we're supposed to be beating
  21. Wow you guys know that hot social media girl Kacie McDonnell? Apparently she's dating Eric Hosmer. Wouldn't be surprised if her days at NESN are numbered... #JennyDell
  22. I love the annual trip to Dey-twah. Win. Dance. Repeat. x3
  23. One of the few times all year that I'm on the same page as the few Mets fans that are here in CT
  24. Accounting. My half brother has it made though. He's from Houston, working on mergers & acquisitions in the energy industry. Perfect place
