  1. The problem with that is both the AL Central and NL Central have some of their teams in FL and the rest in AZ, so division games would be a mess
  2. Well the other reason why I wouldn't want that is because my passion is football. After Labor Day, I stop caring about baseball, unless the Sox are in the playoffs, in which case I'll skip September and then come back in October. On years they aren't in it, I barely watch the postseason at all. Also I work for a college football team so I don't exactly have a lot of spare time during football season anyway
  3. Yeah, we're not sure either. When it becomes available, we're all going to get tested for antibodies. I have allergy symptoms, but any COVID-19 I had was asymptomatic. Yet there's plenty of people my age in the ICU, as oldtimer mentioned
  4. You're not wrong. It's a very offensive generalization but it's fair to say that everyone is all worked up right not with all the uncertainty that's currently in our lives, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt
  5. We took care of it. I'm not offended. It's all good
  6. https://www.talksox.com/forum/threads/19750-Chris-Sale-needs-Tommy-John-Surgery?p=1315709&viewfull=1#post1315709 Hope we're all good now. No hard feelings
  7. So saddening to hear. It does seem like genetics, because why else would it be a crapshoot on how it affects each person? My mom almost definitely had it, and I think I had it too, but I was almost completely asymptomatic. It's luck of the draw I guess. Stay strong!
  8. Explain to me why you think I'm a "sophmoric child" when you brought me into a discussion by taking an unnecessary shot at me. You've done nothing today other than show me that you're the child. Do mature adults take unnecessary shots at somebody when they don't agree with them? Nope. I apologized for the joke, and said I respected your position, yet you can't let this go. You're the one that needs to learn the alphabet.
  9. You're the clueless one, because you can't tell he was joking to make a point. And I'd appreciate it if you don't take random shots at me. If we're having a discussion, insult me all you want, but by involving me in a separate debate you are once again showing everybody here how childish and immature you are, yet apparently I'm the clueless immature child? Fascinating
  10. I don't think it's a stretch at all
  11. I'm fine with that. Won't be any nights where you're sitting at Fenway and the wind chill is below 30 with a steady drizzle
  12. Here's a name I'd like to throw into the mix. Not sure if it's already in this thread or not, but I'm too lazy to read through it: Jim Thorpe
  13. Meaning what exactly? Just curious
  14. Or you're just afraid that I'm right so you're going to pretend like you have something that you're not telling me. Have a nice day
  15. Ok, so how does making a joke make me clueless, given the fact that the anecdote you just provided is your definition of "clueless"
  16. Anybody here can say anything they want about me. I can take it. I'm very honest and straightforward with people, and I wish people were the same way to me. I also feel humor is a form of medicine. Elktonnick, if you don't, that's perfectly okay, and I respect that, but other people feel the same way as I do, so I'm going to continue to make jokes when appropriate. At the end of the day we're all strangers on the Internet. If you don't like me that much, that's fine. I'm used to people not liking me. Just ignore me, there's even a fancy button you can press so you don't see my posts. If that doesn't work for you, nobody is making you be here.
  17. I don't know, sounds like a pretty immature thing for an adult to say over the Internet. You're so opposed to anybody with a different opinion than yours, or at least that's what I've picked up on. When someone doesn't agree with you and you can't easily change their mind, you resort to insulting them. That's pretty childish in my book
  18. I would argue I'm more mature than you. Or at least more rational and composed.
  19. Not my field of study, nor my strength. I do know a few people in the Allied Health program though
  20. Yes, as have the other NCAA spring sports. UConn was going to open up a new ballpark on Sunday
  21. Slow down there, friend!
  22. More like the opposite. He sued the Jets because they wouldn't let him have surgery. https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/10/26/kelechi-osemele-released-jets
  23. Well I would certainly hope not. We wouldn't want you having shortness of breath and then thinking you had COVID-19
  24. There's a giant hole in the Green Monster right now, because that just came out of left field
  25. What I think of the surgery doesn't matter, because of the fact that money changes the outcome
