  1. Alright, so then it basically helps my argument
  2. This brings me to the philosophy I've had since the pandemic began: It's ok to live in fear, but you can't stop living your life because of fear. Are you suggesting Chris Sale NOT get surgery because of the risk of a bacterial infection?
  3. It's not that I don't understand what counts as non-essential, it's that I was not aware that such a prohibition was in place. Excuse me for trying to be a straight A student and not keeping up to date with every depressing piece of news that comes out of all 50 states
  4. Ok, so then using that logic nobody should get surgeries ever
  5. Of course there's a huge risk. As long as you wash your hands like its your religion, don't touch your face, and wear mask and gloves, that risk goes down a little. And the patient would be knocked out, and then sent home relatively quickly considering the need for beds
  6. You people act like it will seep through your skin and automatically infect anybody within 5 miles
  7. It's not smart to postpone surgeries and risk someone else's health by restricting it to coronavirus patients only. Obviously they should get priority, but if somebody else needs an operation, they should be able to get an operation
  8. Defiant and selfish aren't the same thing
  9. 1 little TJ operation takes what, like 2 hours? Plus, it's not like COVID-19 patients are getting operated on, at least not regularly
  10. It's not a bad thing to be a little selfish in moderation
  11. I know it's clogging up the ERs, but I think it's smart
  12. Yeah, if I'm a player, I drop Boras into the middle of Target Field in December and then see if he still wants to play
  13. He was social distancing. Ahead of the curve
  14. "Help! I've fallen and I can't get up" - Joe Castiglione
  15. The team's Instagram page shared a nice video that I put on my story, and the MLB sent out two very well put together videos
  16. Well we needed it to get under the luxury tax threshold. This entire time, I'm convinced that we're going to go after him next offseason, a la Chapman with the Yankees a few years ago
  17. Hope it goes well.
  18. Everything okay there Moon? You didn't post in bold.
  19. You're right. Sorry, being around so many Yankees fans has started to wear off on me
  20. I think we're still a winning ball club, given that the key components stay healthy. Playoffs? No. Over .500? Absolutely. I think the offense is still pretty good, but obviously pitching will be an issue. I don't think E-Rod is as good as he was last year. I think a shortened season would help us significantly.
  21. I hope Cora gets the Pete Rose treatment. Two WS titles in 2 year with 2 different teams while cheating warrants it IMO
  22. There are also plenty of sites you can buy tickets on for less than $50. I appreciate you trying to help out the organization by paying full price, but let someone else do that. You've earned it!
  23. My roommate, a Yankees fan, reminds me that each of the last 3 postseasons, the Yankees have been knocked out by teams that have since been caught cheating
  24. I'm doing something right now, so I'm not going to look up the history between OAK and NYY, but it's far more lopsided
  25. Well the A's, as well as the Twins, are the personal postseason bitches of the Yankees. It would be nice if we had some H2H history with them in the postseason so that we could say that we're better than the Yankees at beating up on the A's in October
