  1. I'm just happy to watch a game. We're still recovering from Tropical Storm Isaias. We got our power back Friday, but too many people still don't have power. Also been busy with work
  2. Keep 'em coming
  3. Been a busy and crazy week up here in CT. First game I've been able to watch in over a week. Win. Dance. Repeat. x2
  4. Yeah I can understand why. I only went to 4 road games last year and it took me a few days to recover from the red eyes home, and most times we had practice the following day. It's worth pointing out that football is the shortest season of all the sports, and I'm 21 and in perfect health. The guy that hired me left a few months later because he was burned out. He was in his late 20s. He came back to a game the next fall and had lost like 50 pounds. They say if you want to work in sports, do it when you're young.
  5. I wanted to go to a school that was a football/sports powerhouse. One of my final 3 was Ohio State. But I couldn't turn my back on the team I grew up rooting for, even if they weren't as good as they once we're. I firmly believe that I wouldn't have had an opportunity to work in my favorite sport if I ended up at Ohio State, so I'm perfectly happy with my decision. I've been contemplating pursuing a career in sports but accounting is far more lucrative and much safer, so I guess this helps me make my decision
  6. Of course my boss hasn't told us yet. I'm happy though. Far and away the right move. When you pour your heart and soul into everything you do and live your life to the fullest, things like this don't really impact you. I know I did that for this job, so I can look back and be proud of the work I did, even if I never got the chance to be the lead videographer, as I would've been this year
  7. Nope. Springer is still my personal hero, but I no longer want him on my team
  8. That doesn't mean he's innocent, or did nothing wrong
  9. All I know is that if Cora comes back as manager in 2021, it will be hard for me to respect that
  10. I'm not defending them. It was stupid, and they should have been more careful. No doubt about that. If you want to play baseball this season, you have to keep yourself in a bubble as much as you can. If they want to go over somebody's house for dinner, opt out of the season. Marlins aren't a playoff team. You just have to sacrifice for two months and then feel free to go do whatever the hell you want
  11. Has it ever occurred to somebody that: A) Cora might not want to come back? Other teams might want him, and be willing to pay him more?
  12. I believe him. If they were in Miami, maybe not. Gotta love the Miami night life
  13. Not saying it's the same thing as Sale, but that's how his elbow/UCL issues started last year. First warning sign of a potential TJS
  14. Please put that comment here, and we would be happy to discuss it with you: https://www.talksox.com/forum/threads/19824-8-02-SOX-Yankems?p=1344090#post1344090
  15. Celtics played a fun one today
  16. Enjoy the last day of baseball for 2020 everybody
  17. That's exactly what happened. What a way to end his contract with the Mets
  18. I hope Girardi and Didi get some revenge this week
  19. I don't doubt that, but I also don't trust Yahoo. Their sports opinions over the last 5 months have been very reactionary and often misguided
  20. 30% of the time, it works 100% of the time
  21. Hey Tzu Wei Lin, your mask goes over your nose too
  22. Judge is hotter than a fox in a forest fire
  23. Any game related posts should be made in that day's game thread. Every thought you have does NOT need to be its own thread
  24. Gotta love the OG Fox theme song. Win. Dance. Repeat
  25. I'm more excited for the NBA return and for playoff hockey in August than I am for baseball. Has nothing to do with our expectations for this year's Sox, it's more like a feeling of unfinished business since those were the sports that were on when everything shut down.
