  1. Salty's on a decent streak actually.
  2. After the game, catcher Ryan Lavarnway was told he would be heading back down to Triple-A Pawtucket to make room for Sunday’s starting pitcher, John Lackey. Shame we didn't get the chance to see him against these bums.
  3. I swear to god, .400 season for Papi.
  4. They worked as a perfect confidence booster for everyone...except Bard, obviously. I guess we'll see Mortensen today, and Lackey won't help us rest those bullpen arms with so many pitches already.
  5. I still can't believe Doubront is a starting pitcher, he struggles to get to 5th/6th every single time he gets out there, but he handled that one well after falling behind early. Bard makes Miller look like a HOF.
  6. a good 'rehab' series against Astros for Will, let's hope we see some more confident ABs in coming weeks.
  7. well, that escalated quickly.
  8. Just got home, and I can see someone messed up the scoring board, this can't be right.
  9. "aaand it's off the wall" must be the most depressing phrase when you expect the ball to go over. laser show. relax.
  10. a nice strikeout to retire the second batter, but he needs to throw more strikes. I hope we see him again in these couple of days.
  11. They told him what to do after his last AB = I'd be a great coach.
  12. I could swear Papi's on drugs.
  13. Certainly more pitches than Clay hoped for, but still, 7 K's. He spoiled us.
  14. Middlebrooks simply doesn't care about putting much effort in hitting the ball. Never stretches or bends his knees to hit the low ones, and I would understand that if he was as old as Papi, or had 250 pounds. This way, he just looks like he needs a lot of private lessons from Pedroia.
  15. I don't know how Papi does it, but keep 'em coming.
  16. So, Astros are on a roll, two straight wins coming into this series. Glad to see Lavarnway back, .310/.423/.452 so far in AAA.
  17. another HR, Koji? not so invincible after all.
  18. Is this Andrew Miller pitching in a game in which we don't have a 20-run lead?
  19. a double and two singles for Lawrie, funny how he keeps 'em coming, .363 AVG.
  20. are you kidding me, this ended up being a hit? well done, Nava.
