    Actually in short samples, the very next event or 2 or 3, will likely be what the short sample indicates, for good or bad, and not what their career says. This is actually why you bench good players 1, 2 or 3 days when you are in a bad stretch like JD. OTOH, we are entering into September and decisions will be drastic and out of the book mostly when you are in-between of a dogfight. For instance Cora sat JD which was the right thing to do.

    Somehow the NESN transmission is live before and after the game at MLB.TV. It is great because here in Mexico we do not have access to NESN.

    Did you see the last 2 ABs of Verdugo? That’s his regular approach. He rarely swings in three consecutive pitches like he did yesterday. His aggressiveness taxed his approach at the plate last night.
