+1. As I been saying... I would never ever give any prospect for Beltran, no way! If we don't have the cash or they don't accept just $, then... Carlos is not for us. Now, if we talk about Hunter Pence or an elite SP, that is another lady. I would go the same way.

I thought that you would change your mind... hehehehe Pence is the only rescuable from the Astros. He is 28; his numbers this season? .315/.339/.481/.819. through 5 seasons ? .291/.339/.481/.819; vs LHP .290 vs RHP .291. and now?

I think that Colorado is fooling all around. They are just tasting the market in my opinion. What would be the message to the actual roster (a solid one), fans, media, etc. if you give up one of your jewels. I don't see that happens. I would be really surprised.

What would you prefer?, Pence, for a long term deal kinda CC's contract (a lot of money and surly some top prospects) or Beltran for 3 months, 6 MUSD and probably a couple of prospects.

I think that was due his last injury, they weren't confident that he could make it. Wrong call, since he is young, he was not expensive and as u said, his numbers were solid at that point.

+1 That's what I'm talking about. You can't only depend on these 3 SPs. The injuries specially in SPs are always around. Our QUALITY STARTS department is pathetic (46); we are ranked 26th in all baseball. We are damn "lucky" that our offense averages 6+ Rs/per game. Wanna talk about ERA? we are the 16th in the neighborhood. We need a damn SP!... gonna cost? of coooouuuurse he will cost!!!! the good, always!!... specially when the name of the game is pitching! BTW... Ubaldo is a reality... those prospects? a promise. Again... hard to happen, unfortunately!

For Jimenez I would give them (Lavarnway, Kalish, Ranaudo and Iglesias) and my neighbor's ass... Jimenez is a beast on the mound, and guess what? he is just 27. What he needs this season is fresh air, thats all.
