  1. When you want a GM/CEO/Head/Main Director, etc. You look at high management profiles; the names come later. I mean, I've seen GMs go from one industry to another completely different over and over and over again just like that due their SOLID MANAGEMENT SKILLS. I believe that a baseball organization or any other company beyond the industry it belongs, looks for a GM who can deploy with success those skills; it is not necessary the knowledge of the core business, it comes later. Sure, If this candidate has experience in that industry (ex. Baseball), even better, but it is not a most, you want the profile.
  2. Well, if we at least go 4-3 with the O's we'll make the POs. BTW we still playing under .300 :harhar:
  3. Well, nobody is indispensable in an organization, nobody. The signs and the symptoms are there and IMO a cycle would've ended if they do not make POs. But again, it is just me. The season ain't over but the panorama isn't encouraging at all. In the end, the main stakeholders will run the numbers and will seek for their own interests, you bet.
  4. After all, still 2 GB and 10 to go, gentlemen. We can't take the POs for granted anymore. We need to go game by game and play every remain game as if it means the entrance into the POs. My odds. (probable pitchers according to ESPN) BOS (4/10) (.400) BOS would finish with 91 W vs 2-2 BAL Weiland (L) BAL Lackey (L) BAL Bedard (W) BAL Beckett (W) at 1-2 NY Lester (W) NY Wake (L) NY to be announced (L) vs 1-3 BAL to be announced (L) BAL to be announced (W) BAL to be announced (L) TB (6/10) (.600) TB would finish with 91 W (2-2) at NY Davis (10-9) Hughes (5-5) (W) at NY Hellickson (13-10) Nova (15-4) (L) at NY Shields (15-11) Sabathia (19-8) (L) at NY Niemann (11-7) Colon (8-9) (W) (2-1) vs TOR Price (12-12) Morrow (10-11) (W) vs TOR Davis (10-9) Romero (15-10) (L) vs TOR to be announced (W) (2-1) vs NY to be announced (W) vs NY to be announced (L) vs NY to be announced (W) If this is the scenario we wouldn't make the POs. I'm not sure where to put another W or give another L to TB, What do u think?
  5. I don't see CC out of NY, They will pay whatever he demands. Regardless, that seems like he looooooves the big spot lights.
  6. Trust me, it is FOs fault.
  7. Wisdom here. My points are resumed here. Nevertheless, sounds like Theo and Co. Will go if we don't make the POs again considering the tons of money deployed in the past 2 years.
  8. I'd say yes, but I'm not sure what weight he has. He puts on the field what he has; nevertheless, IMO he has made a loooot bad decisions. On the other hand, and looking at our pitching depth which has has been the main cause of our collapsing should be charged to our FO.
  9. Today's result is not his fault; even last failures aren't his fault. This fault is directly charged who planned this rotation depth and arguably who put him on the mound. That's the big picture issue.
  10. His head is on thin ice, but there's still a slightly light ray in the end of the road. We'll see.
  11. Jimenez? Hehehe. As I've been saying, I could put several names out there, and you probably would give me several arguably "solid" reasons of why it couldn't happen or something... But in the end, the only true and fact is that Theo is paid very well to figure it out how it can happen among a lot other responsibilities as a GM. It ain't over, We'll see the final overall outcome in order to rate Theo.
  12. No, it is not. Since he is the GM/head, he is responsible for the overall good/bad outcome. There's no other way to see it. We'll see how it ends.
  13. Agree. Nevertheless, we still have this pitching crap and THAT is my concern. Lester is not reliable anymore lately, he is always pounded early. We'll see.
  14. Well just in case I'll push it. Seriously, we struggled against a s***** offense; what would we expect against a substantial better one? BTW, the birds are playing good ball lately.
  15. Time to push deeply the panic button.
  16. A new kind of failure back to back to back SBs. Get this old man out now!
  17. The Gods of baseball are against us. They demand a substantial sacrifice. Give 'em Tito and Theo in a Maya Ritual protocol (cutting their heads and nuts)... Ohh and almost forget, the conditioning coach too.
  18. Aviles is the hottest hitter of this team these days . That says it all.
  19. Since looooong time ago, long time ago. Seriously, far to give a chance this team to win, we are doing just the opposite. Give the spot to someone of our farm, literally to anyone, really. If they are worse than this crap, then we are really screwed, but at least try something different for God' sake, don't die without even trying.
  20. The automatic 2+ Rs before the 2nd inning. I'm tired of this.
