  1. I'm not sure what are your semantics on this but LAA, NY and TEX are above us in the papper right now. They have less quetions in order to make POs. A lot of analysts do not put us in the same tier.If you do not see this that way, is up to you.
  2. Maybe I could go with you guys. I probably will be there in July.
  3. Every team has question marks, but some have more than others in order to achieve an objective.
  4. +1 JH is surely in that bandwagon too. He better put the numbers, otherwise this will be very painful to watch.
  5. Off topic. A-Rod is in Mexico City and met with Carlos Slim Domit (Son of Carlos Slim Helu). He is promoting his gyms (Energy).
  6. if we want to win this season this could work it out. You can likely afford the best of both worlds (Ortiz and Oswalt)
  7. if this is true, UN? has a case. The money wouldn't be the problem, but still the availability would. Look at our 2011 SP searching. We only could afford another injury prone SP. Either way, I find out the scenarios very interesting.
  8. UN? says that we are 6 MUSD under... If we can't afford a SP with this money, at least we shall go for him.
  9. I thought that we were 1 or 2 M under the cap. Either way, I do not like that scenario (look for solid/heathy/proved pitcher in order to right the ship.). Look, The same situation happened last year. We needed this type of pitcher and we only could grab another injury prone pitcher on the edge of the TDL, regardless the money was not likely the issue at the time. My point is, respect the strategy. If it is stay under the cap (beyond whether I like it or not) in order to win in the mid/long future, then we must show consistency in that regard (do not go over it in the middle of next season).
  10. I think that you are missing something UN?. The cost. How many quality/solid/proved/healthy pitchers will be available and keep/allow you be under the cap?. I just do not see a bunch of pitchers with those characteristics. As I said, if the strategy is stay under the cap (pumpsie's theory) and the things goes bad why will you change that strategy in the middle of season and mostly if the things are already wrong. It wouldn't make sense to me.
  11. Great post jung. Totally agree. BTW it is about availability plus quality plus very low cost or and prospects/proved MLB players in order to change radically the direction of the ship (assuming it is on the wrong direction).
  12. Nahhh He is not whining, he is talking about baseball. He is emitting an opinion based on his large experience and of course the way he sees the game. He doesn't insult other poster. IMO he is a funny guy; the nicknames are funny to me, no big deal. We might agree or disagree with his opinion, but IMO some posters have crossed the respect line with him and his crew. I like SCM33, I often agree with him but I'm not with him on this either. As I said is time to move on and leave this in the past. Lets talk about baseball. BTW Good point about the White Sox. Maybe the Guardians will be better than them.
  13. In the situation I just rest.
  14. Well, the last thing I heard was that the 2 wild cards will be in effect until 2013. If I'm wrong (I wish), We definitely will have better chances to make the POs. I'm not sure how good/bad are their physical conditioning and injury track record in their rotations in those team. I know our story reason why I put that situation as a possibility. As you said, If we lose Lester or goes to DL for a long period of time and if we go like this (with a ? In our #4-5) and if TOR/WS/TB don't suffer a major injury/loss issue, I see very probable that they finish above us next season. Sure, out there are a lot of possibilities too but that situation would definetely be a red flag in our team.
  15. In paper we are a better team, but if we go like this and one of our top 3 get an injury/underperform (likely) IMO we will be in their level. (reason why I put "if you rush me" ) On the other hand, right now I see 2 things, 1. the wild card is in the west and 2. NY is one or maybe 2 steps a head us in the run for the division, and yes, we are very close to TB. Next year will be very tough, if we go like this, vey tough. Only time will tell, though.
  16. Just watched the HR that Cespedes did in DR. This guy is a beast.
