You are mixing things. One thing is a long projection (probabilities/odds) and another realities/outcome. This thread is about projections. The reality could change dramatically for any team. That's other discussion. Nobody is disputing that.

Yup it has not set in stone yet, reason why I still have hopes. Do not take me wrong, beyond how we face next Season, I'll support this team. You bet. If FO/Ben's strategy works out, I'll be the first in celebrate it. I just don't feel comfortable with the current scenario, sorry.

Yup, All teams have QMs. IMO we have more, reason why I do not like the scenario. You do not like casinos/experts predictions but they see more question marks in our team, reason why they project us in this position. If I had to bet, I wouldn't put my money in this current Red Sox. We better bring the SP.

Fearless? We are a mass of question marks. If we get a solid SP, the scenario will be completely different. As constructed, we are a 5-6 team on paper in the AL. As I said, a lot analysts put us in that place. I agree. Sorry but trying to be objective, I just do not see this team in POs. SCM33's opinion seems very realistic to me. A lot question marks. Let's take a tour, 2 huge question marks in our rotation 4-5. A whole mystery in our BP, specially in Bailey/Melancon (injury concerns/performance). Can Youk and Buch be healthy the entire season? Everybody assumes that Crawford will bounce back (I tend to think the same). He is between cottons right now. We need his production early in the season. When is he going to comeback? How long is he going to take to get hot? Will Ortiz put the same numbers? Are Punto/Aviles the solution? Seems like Beckett, Lester, A-Gon, Peddy and Ells are only our sure bets. Plus, The AL seems more competitive this year on paper than recent years. Beyond the 2010 and 2011 outcomes we didn't have these amount of question marks/ red flags on paper and we failed. Yes, these question marks could play in our favor. Nevertheless and beyond baseball, when you have this kind of uncertainty in your business, most of the times it doesn't work out. Some people doesn't see this kind of uncertainty that experts/analysts/casinos/polls and some posters around here see in this team. That give me hopes. We better bring this SP which was our #1 priority this offseason and for whatever reason hasn't been addressed yet. Sounds crazy but this SP could make the difference between go/no-go to POs. As E1 said, we will see.

I just read that Aceves is asking 1.6 and Boston offered him 900 K. They will go to arbitration. I think that Ben is going to lose this one and probably will win Ortiz case. We'll see.

Even If the offer is 5-6 plus 5 in incentives I really doubt that it could work it out. Maybe for Oswalt (injury concerns; btw that offer seems that didn't work it out) but for Jackson? I really doubt it.

Agree. I have no idea how this Oswalt/Jackson/Floyd drama is going to end up but if they trade for Floyd and pay him something around Kuorda's/Oswalt's 2012 money anyway, why in the hell give up top prospects for him?, regardless in our farm, there's no abundance of them (top prospects) these days and this guy Floyd is not a super star. Of course, all this is speculation.

Yup, we are clogged. This is not about fans. Think the other way is just insane. They take the blame/credit and costs/money. We only can make opinions, that's all. This is 2009-2011FO/Theo's legacy plus FO/BC's Ortiz horrible move (thus far). Ain't over, but as I've been saying if we end up over the cap and without SS and SP, this will be horrible.

In the last two polls I voted that we were going to acquire a pitcher before ST. This time I voted neither of them. If they sign someone, the name will be Floyd and with a lot less possibilities Garza, but I guess that it would take at least a week, unless BC has been cooking this trade. We'll see.

Well, I'm not sure If it is the same in the US, probably is like the same. As I said, when I was a kid I loved to go to Las Arenas. These days I have no idea if they have changed the concept, but I believe that it has had improvements. Btw, SCM33 have fun... It should be a great experience.:thumbsup:

IMO wresting is more acting than real fighting. It's like a comedy or something. When I was a kid, I used to watch wrestling very often LOL. I remember Hulk Hogan, Andrew el Gigante, Savage, El Santo, Blue Demon, etc. I used to play that Nintendo (I) wrestling video game a lot LOL. I haven't watched a wrestling match in 20 years or something. I'm not sure whether it has changed or not since then.

Hopefully one of those depth arms of us, turn into a Colon/Garcia sweet surprise. Padilla/Doubront could give us a surprise, but I just do not see arguments in the others.
