  1. Fielder's contract in effect....
  2. I was about to post kind of the same, but I do not want to sound pessimist or be pointed as one. I think that your post is objective. I think some of us have said this, one way or another over and over again. Despite these issues, I guess everybody around here will support this team. Nobody wishes any bad to this team, but the opposite. I think that Bard should return to pen and take the closer role and let Cook/Miller/Padilla etc. win the 5th spot. Bailey seems that going to be out for a long time but at least I hope that everything goes fine with Beckett.
  3. Because our payroll is clogged...
  4. The season has not even started and our closer and #2 SP are among cottons?, regardless Crawford is not ready either. Our question marks were already there, and now this? Unbelievable.
  5. Interesting.
  6. Well, seems like Tito's departure is an improvement by subtraction as well.
  7. As always SCM33 I agree with you. As I said a couple of times, Do not be surprised if Pap ends up his career with something around Mo's line.
  8. Sounds like... Gordon calling Batman...
  9. I've been kind of critical this offseason and on paper I think we just have a team to compete at very best for a WC spot. On the other hand User, call me crazy but I have a good feeling about this team this year. I see a loooong road in the ALE. Even Toronto could be a surprise. IMO this season will be cardiac and very funny to watch.
  10. I do not like how it sounds. We all knew that Bailey somehow had this handicap... Prone to injuries.
  11. Well, some bad decisions will come off the books in 2013. As Pumpsie and some here said, maybe this is just a bridge year and hopefully they will learn from those bad decisions.
  12. I'm not sure if they are trying to stop or just waiting to get the right wave to surf in (2013).
  13. I'm convinced that our putrid apples contaminated the good ones. Even Felix or Lee would have ended up with a 6.0 ERA that September. Mentally we were done already, even without playing. Everybody was expecting tons of runs early in games. Always was a declined and tough hill that September.
  14. Amen. We have plenty discussed this issue. Some friends here are not with us and it is fine, but sometimes you do not appreciate/value your own assets as you do when you are looking somewhere else. Sure, he costs a lot of money, but as you said, we have plenty overpaid for trash players over and over again mostly in recent years.
  15. Ciriaco @ 37 AB .405/.421/.622/1.043
  16. TB put on the field its titular L-up...
  17. I like what I have seen from Ciriaco this ST. I think he has earned a spot in the team. SOX 1 TB 0 with an alternative L-up.
  18. I like Cain, but if Hamels is the name I won't complain, you bet. IMO both will receive extentions, hopefully no.
  19. I'm gonna use a Mexican say here... se chamaquearon a los Red Sox.
