  1. There’s a reason TB got rid of Kluber. He’s likely done.
  2. Having a legit closer through the season makes all the difference. Said that, I have to be honest on this but I thought the best days of Jensen had been gone. Hopefully he keeps this way.
  3. I’m not talking about this season. It’s been 2 weeks of BB. Last year they made f WS out of nowhere. He gave the Phillies a legitime chance to win it all and be contenders in coming years after years of failures. They just signed the best baseball player in planet in my book to keep it going. It’s simply a shame they lost an AllStar and a great player. You can say whatever you want about DD but he is a winner HOF.
  4. In the end, big market team fans want to see super stars on the field. Aside Devers who else is a super star?
  5. Phillies haven't done bad.
  6. SS and C are the most important positions in a baseball team and we have but utility players playing there. Really, how do we expect to win going like this?
  7. well Bloom hasn't won anything yet and only God knows how many more years he'll be around.
  8. I have understood that Bloom is not a Mickey Mouse GM or whatever the title is at this point.
  9. Playing devil's advocate, all I have seen and read is that Bloom has had fully freedom to do whatever he wanted to do to get the job done. I don't see at this point what the plan is, when you see the signings of Devers and Yoshida.
  10. This 100%
  11. I think he was looking for a LAD philosophy. Good pipeline with great players surrounded.
  12. No problem, it is stil a big chunk of money.
  13. I think Bloom has freedom to do whatever is needed to get the job done. Need to hire staff? Do it. Need players? do it.Need develop the farm? do it. Said that If the later is not true, then we are the biggest lie in baseball. Ive been listened that the "money thing" has never been an issue. If they need to spend, he can spend.
  14. Sure, and that goes on Cora too. It's a wreck train top to bottom.
  15. That's not what I saw few days ago at MLB Network. It was above 200 M.
  16. Well I think I can name plenty of teams with a similar payroll and even less which are fairly better.
  17. As I said in other thread, this team is not rebuilding nor contending. They are mediocre and arguably bottom 10 team in all baseball. It has no direction. The farm is not even close to be one of the best either. Aside Mayers, who else is elite and close in the pipeline? None. He let walk Xander and while keeping Story. He let walk Renfroe also. He signed Devers, but for what? Casas is still a question mark. Dalbec is nothing but mediocre. Arroyo, Tapia, Refsnyder, Chang, Hernandez, Wong etc are utility guys and some of them play almost every day. We also have big chunk of old wounded dogs/injury prone at both sides of the plate, and don't let me start at the pitching. He still thinks this Oakland A's baseball. It is not. You might argue that he want to run the team like LAD (ie like TB with steroids), and I was one of those who thought he would, but it is not even close. And you know what is the funny thing? This is still a 200+ M payroll team. Yes, he has to go already.
  18. This team is a joke, starting with Cora in this game. Why in the hell did he take Kluber out of the game?
  19. It’s a shame that guys like Trout, Othani and Devers waste their careers in teams like this.
  20. I wanted to give Bloom the benefit of the doubt after that miracle ALCS appearance. Right now they are nothing but a mediocre team which is not rebuilding nor contending. Also the farm is light years away to be ready if so. Yes, they signed Devers, but for what? This an old wounded horse named The Boston Red Sox isn’t going anywhere for a long time. Bloom has to go. JH with him. Thanks for everything but we have to move on.
  21. Naahhh just mediocre. Something around 500. They need to spend big bucks. The farm is a f desert.
