  1. I'm less than surprised that you're stepping in to side with that dunce.
  2. 1. AJP was just a one year stop gap to hold down the fort. He was a consistent low to mid .700 OPS bat and while he sucked, it's hard to call it a bad signing. 2. Drew was brought in to fill a hole while we were still trying to contend. Like AJP, it didn't work out, but it's hard to take issue with the thinking. 3. Mujica was brought in for a lowly 9 million dollars and demonstrated a skill set that reminded one of Koji. Relievers are up and down and Mujica was a decent sign in an environment where folks like brandon league get huge dollars. 4. Lester was coming off of a 110 ERA+ and while it looks bad in hindsight, I don't think you can fault the FO for not ponying up 100+ million for him prior to 2014. 5. Rookies struggle, he wasn't going to get better in AAA or riding the pine. Please, try harder.
  3. This post scares me. If anybody knows about salary anchors, it's Yankees fans.
  4. I request five examples of times when Cherington "blew the duke" (whatever that means) and seriously screwed up a personnel decision.
  5. "You see, there was this big bandleader that wouldn't let Johnny Fontaine out from under his contract."
  6. I agree. I'm still optimistic that he's wearing our uniform come opening day, I just think that the total value will be closer to 140 than 120.
  7. If it's the opening offer and they intend to move upward from there, it's fine, but if this is as high they'll go then we can just thank Jon for the memories and move on.
  8. I don't see the point in that. Napoli can handle himself against righties and lefties.
  9. Found this posted on SOSH, http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2014/11/19/pablo-sandoval-kung-fu-panda-will-not-return-to-san-francisco-giants-boston-red-sox-toronto-blue-jays-gameday/ f*** to the yeah, Ben Cherington.
  10. I'm all in favor of both of these coming to pass. 6/140-ish for Lester is perfectly reasonable to me and I'm on board with outbidding SF on the years or dollars to get Pablo. P.S- did you receive either of the replies to your PM I sent?
  11. Well, that's just horrifying.
  12. I just saw a report that said SF had 5/90 on the table and thought pretty much the same thing. If the Sox want him, I think it'd take something in the 5/100 area or them adding on a 6th year. I'm not entirely against this but it's certainly not as enticing as 5/90 is.
  13. I was less than interested in Sandoval initially but if 5/90 gets it done, in this FA market, then I'm all in on bringing him to Boston. The deal would only take him through age 33/34 and if he does need to move to DH/1B later there's going to be room at one of those two spots in the not too distant future. Edit: holy f***ing donkey balls, is that quote in your sig real, SFF?
  14. I dedicated my morning dump to him today so I've paid my respects.
  15. Well, you got your beatdown so far, bro.
  16. Pros of the 2014 Season: -It's almost over -Derek Jeter sucking more ******* than a low class hooker Cons of the 2014 Season: -I have a greater chance of actually marrying Taylor Swift than of adequately covering all of the horrible, disgusting, f***ed up piles of festering horseshit that have made up this back alley abortion of a season. Beat the Rays. Or don't. Whatever. Go Patriots.
  17. Think we can get him some reps in the OF and at 1B? Maybe he could become the right handed Nava with some extra power.
  18. When we're standing upon the corpses of Beckett, Agon, and Crawford while celebrating our repeat as World Champions, we will remember the day that AJP was taken behind the barn for it was the beginning of our return to dominance.
  19. Baltimore is also on a long west coast trip right now. We can make up some serious ground in the coming weeks.
  20. So, are we agreed that the first instance of BTR Mojo in a long time has been a positive experience?
  21. No one bothered to make the goddamn gamethread?
  22. Went back-packing through Afghanistan and wound up as Bowe Bergdahl's cellmate. Not fun.
  23. The events that have transpired since the removal of AJ Pierzynski have made it evident to me that he was the problem holding this team back, and ,now that he's gone, we will go on a historic run that ends with our second consecutive division title and a repeat as World Series champions. I base this off of the fact that we haven't lost since AJ was taken behind the barn and I know of no evidence that suggests this will change.
  24. Drunk BTR mojo for the motherf***ing win!
  25. If anyone is in the mood for a little comedy, check out the comments from last night's post game thread over at Draysbay. Apparently: 1. The Sox are a classless organization who's players are pieces of s*** 2. Tampa should retaliate against Carp for sliding in hard to second last night after getting drilled. My thoughts: 1. Delmon Young, Luke Scott, Yunel Escobar, Josh Lueke, David Price 2. Holy f***ing s*** these people are stupid.
