I've always interpreted it in a similar fashion. I don't think it's trying to say they're actually bad at baseball but that everything the Yankees stand for and represent sucks.

In all fairness, it really started to look like Beckett just didn't give a s*** anymore near the end of 2012. But agreed, CC seems to be handling his 30's much better than Josh has for whatever reason.

Agree to disagree I guess. I don't look that far into it. We're Red Sox fans and we're supposed to hate the Yankees. It's as simple as that in my opinion. I get what you're saying but I enjoy it regardless.

And s*** defense. I honestly think he was better than his luck last year and he's been good with the bat vs righties this year but his defensive horridness and complete lack of ability as a righty are starting to make me want to see more of Lavs as well as anxiously anticipating the development of Vasquez and Swihart.
