  1. Alright here ya go Webby. Throwing strikes.
  2. Oddly enough I played this game on The Show. Ortiz went deep in the first, and again in his next at bat. The Sox won 10-4
  3. Man Pedroia is really slumping
  4. Atta babe Ells! Steal, ball on the right side, sac fly pls
  5. I'm shocked it happened, but I'm thrilled that Farrell had the balls to sit WMB in favor of Iglesias.
  6. Sox break out the sticks tonight, win 9-3
  7. Wil Myers just said..... BOOYAH!!!!!
  8. The Sox are fortunate in that they can get by without a SP or RP at the deadline and still compete for the division, having Workman Webster and Ranaudo all basically ready for the call, and De La Rosa having the ability to start or be a shut down reliever. But if they want to make a deep PS run, they could certainly use another top of the rotation guy. July will be interesting. The good news is that the Sox are almost done with the toughest month of their season, and they've got a winning record in it (11-8 this month), and virtually have done it all without Buchholz. We've also got the Rockies coming into town, which will give a breather.
  9. The AL East is going to take 94-96 wins to take. The Sox are on a 96 win pace right now through nearly 1/2 of the games. And they will improve themselves at the deadline. That's going to be a huge disadvantage for the Jays because I highly doubt they will upgrade if they're still 6-7 games out in late July, where the Sox, Orioles, A's, and Rangers will likely all upgrade
  10. I'm really excited to see Webby tomorrow. Hope that kid throws 7 scoreless
  11. Yeah Iglesias for me too. Nava had these stretches before and has always been a solid OBP guy. Carp was smothered in Seattle but still had a good power year a couple years ago. Not this good but still a 25-30 HR year at the age of 25, all in the AL West and home games at Safeco, so while his power is surprising, it's not crazzy. Iglesias is certainly benefiting from some crazy BABIP numbers but he's making contact in almost 88% of his swings. That's as much as Pedroia. It's almost as if his unreal eye to hand coordination is finally transitioning into his hitting skills as well
  12. I understand the argument, and its valid, but at the same time, you can't discount the entire season. If they've hit these struggles before, they'll hit them again. And they didn't leave themselves nearly enough wiggle room to go through another patch of 2-8 or 2-10 baseball and survive
  13. The situation is a bit different (low leverage) but the competition is as good as it'll get for Miller here
  14. The Royals went 9-1 from June 5 to June 14 The Twins went 7-1 from 5/27 - 6/4. The Angels won 8 in a row from 5/18 to 5/26 Hell the Astros went 8-2 with a 6 game win streak from 5/27 to 6/3. Even bad teams go on good streaks. Don't overrate the 9 games and underrate the other 63
  15. Sorry, I'm just really not worried about the Jays.
  16. I'd really like to see Miller in the 9th tonight. Got a 4 run lead and you're going to have to go up against a really tough 1-2-3, all tough RHH. Would definitely be a challenge for Miller to see how his stuff plays against the heart of a very good order, and see if he's got the makings for a closer option
  17. Can't wait for the Jays series when they think they're a good team and then the Sox bury them
  18. Oh man Napoli.... Carp needs to get a few more starts
  19. Nap likes these situations
  20. Oh good Lord I have heard it all. When Youk got back, the Yanks were going to get a huge boost because Adams sucked. Now Youk is gone and Adams is better than his .200 average
  21. Wow IBB Ells to get to Vic who is scorching hot tonight
  22. Buch will be back on Tuesday, so he's not out long. Lackey is pitching like a #1 too, which is the only reason that Lester's struggles haven't affected this team more. I would say we have a #1, #1b, #4 (Demp) and Doub is a #5
  23. Need both of these runs pls.
  24. Salty 1.000 OBP with new stance
