  1. I very much disagree with Uggla and Posey. Posey hit 18 bombs and had a .862 OPS last year in 108 games. Mauer's OPS last year was .871. In terms of UZR, Posey had a higher rating than Mauer last year as well. Hes young, about $22.5mm less than Mauer, and is a top catcher in the league. As far as Uggla is concerned, the guy absolutely rakes. He would be an incredible 2 hole hitter. He's not the best second baseman in terms of defense, but it's a very shallow position outside of Pedey, Cano, and Utley in terms of solid hitting.
  2. We'll have to do another Steals/Reach ranking at the ASB and also at the end of the season. Pft. See if Hellickson is still a reach then ya jerk!
  3. Yeah we're just getting spoiled with the rate of this.
  4. CJ Wilson and Jeremy Hellickson were both reaches for me, for sure. I would have taken Carpenter but I was convinced he was chosen already. I didn't realize that pitchers were going to fly off the board like they did.
  5. I just see a huge ceiling for Hellickson, and he's super cheap. I've got a strategy behind all this, too.
  6. If we do that top 10 steals/top 10 reaches thing. I guarantee you Hellickson is the number 1 reach.
  7. I can already tell you it's not.
  8. I forgot all about the player that I'm going to pick this round (if he doesn't get taken in the next 2 picks)
  9. I think I'll probably be around. Anyone have WB's picks?
  10. Anyone on here that I can send my picks to for today?
  11. I always loved the MVP series from EA Sports. Those games were the best until freaking 2K bought out the baseball series. Unreal. EA Sports does awesome with their sports. NCAA and Madden are so fun, and they made MVP a blast too. 2K10 was ok, not great, but ok. I have gotten used to it so much that I've since forgotten how good MVP was until you just mentioned it The Show.
  12. I haven't seen him. So - do any of you guys have MLB 2K10? And if so, have you gone ahead and put Crawford and Gonzo on the team? I started a season the other day, my God. It's so sick. Makes me even more excited.
  13. Yeah. AFTER I took Hellickson.
  14. Dammit. I was going to take Bruce since Upton got picked up.
  15. That's who I was going to pick instead of Hellickson. I'm so pissed I didn't now.
  16. Yeh Hellickson could be a reach, but from the games I saw him throw last year, I could see him putting up Buchholz type numbers too. Maybe about 170-180 IP, but he could get 15 to 17 wins with around a 2.5-3.0 ERA.
  17. You're right, should have gone Upton over Hellickson
  18. So what brings you to the states Italian?
  19. Yeah, maybe was a bit early on his pick. I got worried. I had Hanson going deeper, I was planning on picking him in the 5th, and Heyward in the 6th, but they both got picked up really early, so it made me worry.
  20. Yeah definitely. In all my other fantasy drafts, first off there is no salary cap. Plus, there's always a couple idiots who make horrifying picks in early rounds that you can feast on. Not here, though. Except some jackass took CJ Wilson in the 4th. :wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf:
  21. So if you're not in Oxford, where are you now Italian?
  22. I have a question regarding the bullpen. Do we look at stats like Holds for your set up guy, or is it more ERA/WHIP/K:BB kind of stuff? I ask this because if someone was tempted to sign two closers, and put one as the set up man, he wouldn't get any holds, but would the voting be based on that or not?
