  1. Hell yes. Eck is filling in. I love it.
  2. Yeah I don't get this move for a few reasons. 1. Tek and Buch do not mesh well together. They never have. 2. Salty has been improving significantly. 3. Salty is hitting .280 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI in his last 7 games. 4. Pitchers have a 2.14 ERA while throwing to Salty over the last 7 games, and he gunned down Chone Figgins with Wakefield pitching. Yes. Wakefield. 5. Most importantly, the Red Sox are 5-2 in Salty's last 7 games catching.
  3. I'm really curious as to when we are going to start giving Salty some credit for working out of his slump? Since April 17th, pitchers have thrown to him to a 2.14 ERA, he's hitting .280 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI, and the Red Sox are 5-2 in those games. And lets not forget. He gunned down Chone Figgins with Tim Wakefield throwing to him. He threw a couple bullets down to 2nd, his throws are getting much, much better. So why is everyone still throwing him under the bus? He's doing fine, and he's shown big improvements over the last couple of weeks.
  4. Well s***. RED SOX LINEUP Ellsbury, CF Pedroia, 2B Gonzalez, 1B Youkilis, 3B Ortiz, DH Drew, RF Lowrie, SS Crawford, LF Varitek, C Buchholz, SP This line up hits .295 off of Weaver
  5. Damn. I really hope Francona puts Crawford in the top of the order tonight. Ells Craw Pedey Gonzo Youk Ortiz Lowrie Salty Drew Keep Drew in the 9 hole for a high OBP guy, turns the line up over well. Swap Craw and Pedey is fine. Maybe build off that walk off that Crawford had.
  6. Yeah you're probably right. I'm sure Jenks doesn't give a s*** about his career and wants to fail and be boo'd off the field rather than to succeed and help this team win games and potentially a world series.
  7. Does it seem eerily similar that last year, we got swept by the O's and then had our jumping off point through a 4 game sweep of the Angels in early May? And now we've just salvaged a win against the Mariners and are going to host, who else, the Angels for a 4 game set, just a day before the series started last year? Lets. Go. Sox.
  8. Yeah I'd say if he noticed it before this, he would have changed it.
  9. Well. Considering he threw scoreless outings in his first 4 outings, I'd say this was not a problem during ST and he developed it during the year.
  10. It's the battle of the stomach flu. Buchholz and Weaver both missed their starts on Sunday with "internal distress" or "the shits". Weaver is 6-0 with a 0.99 ERA. He didn't face the Red Sox when they came to town or that bitch would be 5-1 with a 6.43 ERA. Yeah. That's how much damage we're about to do to this guy. His butthole is going to be sore after this, but not because of the stomach flu. Weaver is 2-4 with a 4.40 ERA lifetime against the Red Sox, 1-2 with a 7.76 ERA at Fenway. Last year, Weaver went 0-2 with a 6.00 ERA vs BOS. Buchholz will be on the bump for the Sox, having struggled recently. But all is forgotten, because this is May. April can get bent, it's over. We're 1-0 in May. Crawford is hitting .500. Wakefield threw 5.2 IP of 0.00 ERA baseball. Buch is 4-2 with a 4.17 ERA in his career vs LAA, but went 3-0 with a 2.29 ERA vs LAA in 2010. The Red Sox are hitting just over .200 with RISP this year, and we're going to bump that average up quite a few points against Weaver. Count on it. GO SOX!!!! LETS GET STREAKING!!!!!!
  11. So does this mean I can make tomorrow's thread? Talk about a bad time to start making threads. Felix - Weaver - Haren? I feel as though my tenure may be short.
  12. Rays were up 5-1. Now its 5-5, top 8, men on 1st and 3rd for the Angels, 1 out.
  13. Going into the season, Gonzo was talking about how he was a very mello person. Kinda made me think of Drew. But he was about as pumped up as Pedroia was after that walk off. That was awesome.
  14. God I hope that's the spark we need. That couldn't have happened to a better player right now.
  15. THATTA BOY CRAWFORD!!!!!!!!!
  16. Wouldn't surprise me to see Craw pitched around.
  17. A walkoff BOMB by Crawford would be brilliant
  18. Red Sox have 1 hit in their last 24 AB with RISP. Hitting .042. Disgusting.
