Almost certainly, no? I would be very shocked if they started Morales Thursday vs A's after 109 pitches and Cook Friday vs NYY after 81 pitches. All signs point to Cook Thursday, Morales Friday IMO. -
Rays vs Yankees: Moore vs Garcia Shields vs Nova Price vs Phelps Could the Rays sweep this?? Those are some ugly matchups for the Yankees. Go sweep the A's and we could be 3.5 or 4.5 back from the Yanks by the series.

Yup. Feel the same. As for the WC race - you're right. It would be very, very tough to go up against a guy like Wilson, Verlander, Haren, Weaver, Price, etc. Which is why this team needs to make a move for an ACE pitcher. Someone like Cole Hamels. Go out there and make it happen because if you do that, all of a sudden you feel very good about yourself in a WC this year, and you feel very comfortable about your rotation next season.

Fair enough. If I inaccurately grouped you in with the people who hate on Crawford and Gonzo, then I apologize for that. Hey. 0.5 games back in the WC. Yankees @ Rays for 3. Orioles @ Seattle for 3, then @ LAA for 4. Take care of business against the A's and put yourself in a good position going into the ASB. This team could very well be in the lead for one of the WC's going into the ASB. That seemed crazy to think about just 3 weeks ago, when the Red Sox were 6.5 games out of the 2nd WC (See: Blow It Up Thread)

I know, I am the same way. It's infuriating to watch this team not score runs with the talent. But, like we said, you get Ellsbury and Crawford back and a lot of these struggles go away.

It's people like you that I laugh at hysterically, who give up on guys like Adrian Gonzalez and Carl Crawford, and then they go through a monster streak and shut you up. It's brilliant, really.

That's been off and on since he was called up. I remember before he was called up, the Sox called up Iglesias because Middlebrooks was battling a tight hammy. Then he was also pulled out of the KC game because of it. I think it's just cramps more than anything. And Whew!!! Sox win!!!!! The season lives another day!!!!!
