  1. Wow, f*** you Dipre and f*** you RSFFL.
  2. I was also considering him, but was pretty worried by that platoon split. Wasn't he the guy who broke his leg celebrating a home run?
  3. Agree on all but Uggla and the catchers. It's just ridiculously difficult to find offense at those positions.
  4. I think that CC, Carpenter, and Teixeira definitely would get hurt by their salary, and Morneau as well (to a lesser extent). If you don't really consider salary, then you would be shocked that Alex Rodriguez is still on the board. I think you also have to consider where a lot of the pitchers were taken - it's not as if people were taking A.J. Burnett ahead of Weaver, the pitchers drafted around him were Liriano, Gallardo, Greinke, Lee, and Halladay (and Cain as well). I also think Cain is tremendously overrated, not just by you but by most people.
  5. Yeah, this is about the time of the draft when all the picks that I'm targetting and could reasonably hope to fall to me don't.
  6. This wait is killing me. I got so many picks that I want to make, dammit.
  7. I think it might mean he played for the 400k minimum, or had a minor league contract. I'm not sure which, though.
  8. I did, but all my good targets keep getting taken. Got everyone down but the DH and the pitchers, and I don't really know what I'm planning to do in terms of pitcher targets. Probably just end up throwing money at it until it gets solved, since I'm on target to end up with giant wads of cash.
  9. Sorry, my bad, Capps with the Nationals. I think the Pirates got some sort of return for Dotel that was decent. Being blocked shouldn't affect a player's value, IMO. Imagine what would happen if the Sox traded Kelly for Capps, and how people would react to that. Well, okay, most people would be like "Matt Capps sucks, but at least we just gave up some prospect to get him". But the point is, you're not getting the full value of your prospect just trading him for a reliever.
  10. I feel like the corner outfielders are really similar defensively. With the obvious exception of Fenway and maybe a few other parks, I think that the corner outfield slots are pretty much the same. For example, Petco Park: http://www.ballparktour.com/PETCO_Park.html The LF will have to cover slightly more ground given that left-center is a little deeper than right-center, but in my opinion it's very much the same. Citizen's Bank Park has nearly the same dimensions for LF and RF: http://www.ballparktour.com/Philadelphia.html Therefore, in my mind it really wouldn't make any sense for someone to "adapt" to playing LF if they were typically a RF, except for cases like Fenway (where they would have to adapt anyway unless they were named Jacoby Ellsbury or Ryan Kalish).
  11. I find that 98% of all comments posted on ESPN or Yahoo articles aren't worth the time it took to read them.
  12. Don't do this man, don't start the closer war. It'll get real ugly real fast.
  13. Well, I wouldn't have minded, but that's mostly because I won't be picking for another day or two.
  14. Isn't Johan out until midseason?
  15. Hellickson is a good pick, my only concern is whether he's going to get any starting time.
  16. There are still a few options on the table. I heard that A.J. Burnett guy is pretty good.
  17. Haha, I almost took Morneau, but when I realized Werth was still on the board it was too good a deal to pass up.
  18. Sorry, lol, I had to take care of an errand. Ricky Romero, SP, $408,000, Blue Jays Jayson Werth, OF, $7,000,000, Nationals
