  1. The Yankees fan was right, what an embarrassing offensive performance.
  2. Another walkoff! Finally, a series win.
  3. This is a good team for Hughes to be aggressive against. The A's lineup really struggles to put the ball in play and has virtually no power.
  4. Caught the Rangers napping there. If Bourbon had his head in the game, he would have positioned himself correctly and made a threw with some purpose. Good baserunning by Scutaro.
  5. What was the most impressive about Feliz was how much movement he was getting on the ball. Most people have to go max effort to throw that hard and when you go max effort the ball tends to be really straight. Feliz was just slinging it up there though, almost reminds me of Pedro.
  6. It's good to see Bard pitch well in some high leverage innings. He tends to struggle in big spots.
  7. Well it was only a matter of time before he remembered that he was Darnell McDonald and that he's supposed to be part of an embarrassing lineup that wasn't supposed to score 7 runs tonight.
  8. At least our bullpen's been good this year. That's just about the only thing that's gone right for us so far.
  9. And out starter gives up 6+ runs for the 4th game in a row... it would be irritating if I wasn't used to it by now.
  10. ERA is a flawed enough stat, CERA is just useless.
  11. It's actually a pretty good lineup against a lefty. The 2-9 hitters all have a career .800+ OPS against left-handed pitching. Not bad for a team with 2 of it's starters on the DL.
  12. He got lucky with some great plays on balls early in the game when he was struggling and was unfortunate with a bloop single that landed in between Cano and Granderson ahead of a home run. Overall, another poor outing - 6 hits, 3 walks and 3 runs in 5.1. innings. He didn't get lit up like he did in his other starts, but that's to be expected against one of the worst offensive teams in baseball.
  13. Eh, Oakland will be lucky to score 4 runs. They're batting .252/.321/.362 as a team.
  14. Right after we cut Papelbon.
  15. Bah dah dah dah dah, I'm lovin' it!
  16. I think that's the first positive thing that Hall's done all year!
  17. It's only fair after the half a dozen games we've gift wrapped other teams so far this year. Is Francisco seriously going to walk Bill Hall while he's trying to bunt?
  18. We only score 845 runs in 2007. We weren't exactly an offensive juggernaut.
  19. Yeah, opposing teams should really only get credit for half a stolen base against the Red Sox. Half the starters either pay no mind to the runners or throw a 70 mph fastball.
