  1. Wright said after the game he feels great - said you can feel so good you end up overthrowing. But whatever rehab work they did on his shoulder, he seems to think it's worked.
  2. I realize the lineup is a shambles, but they CANNOT lose Sale starts. Very frustrating since he's been as good as advertised.
  3. LaVar Ball is a terrible person and a terrible father. The amount of pressure he's putting on his sons is ridiculous, and then after making a racist comment about the three white players on the team, he tries to backtrack and in doing so says he blames his son for every loss, even if the kid has an outstanding game.
  4. Did they keep the receipt? Seriously, I'm over Pomeranz. He has nothing to offer, IMO.
  5. I think ESPN said Kimbrel had a short shelf life and that was four years ago.
  6. There's part of me that doesn't care how many hits a SP gives up, runs are all that matters. But...not good.
  7. Doesn't stop some fans of all teams freaking out if they lose it.
  8. Any day Porcello doesn't give up the long ball is usually a good day. We won and Yankees lost. Lovely, lovely.
  9. *except the Yankees and Dodgers.
  10. #2-#5 0 for 16 and Tanaka torched to a crisp. Couldn't ask for a better start.
  11. Can FredLynn be shown the door, plz?
  12. Unassisted triple play Perfect game or no hitter Inside the park HR Yankees being beat by 20 runs It's not rare, but I love a good pitcher's duel too. Everything on a knife edge, first one to blink loses. Way more drama than a slugfest.
  13. Speaking of awful announcers, Chip Caray thought Jacoby Jones (black) and JaCoby Jones (white) are the same person.
  14. Meanwhile, in the real world.... And if I was an ump I'd be tossing people left and right with the way coaches and players behave. Ain't nobody got time for that.
  15. ESPN is one of the reasons I'm glad I gave up cable tv ten years ago. Garbage is the right word. I am sure it's contributing to this country's ADHD epidemic.
  16. Don't really give an f for college hoops but glad to see Duke and their trip-happy douchebag are out. Buh bye!
  17. So it's down to US vs D.R. for the last semi-final spot? We've lost this, boys.
  18. OK, 100% honest here: for the last three days or more, I've completely forgotten this was going on.
  19. Divisions might make more sense in MLB than the NFL. That should be divisionless, but keep the schedule making as though divisions still existed. That way you know the teams with the best records are going to the playoffs, which is essential in a short season. None of this 7-9 wins a division and home playoff game crap.
  20. Blue Jays stiff Sanchez. Thanks pal, here's league minimum. And of course it's a punishment. I just don't understand why the initial offer is an offer? Sanchez doesn't have any say in what he gets paid the first three years. https://sports.yahoo.com/news/sanchez-no-hard-feelings-jays-renew-him-minimum-200828763--mlb.html
  21. http://i.imgur.com/0mw1I8e.gif
  22. Last time Canada did this bad was Jason Bay's 0-fer in the HR Derby.
  23. I'm getting impatient for this farce to end. Mets have probably made a mint off his jerseys. Come on people, these things cost $300, you have no business buying one of a guy who couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. Timmeh was hitting a robust .192 or so in the freaking instructional league. FAHGEDDABOUDIT.
  24. I don't think Venezuela protested - they thought they were out until someone told them in the locker room they were still in (insert Godfather III reference). Mexico's protest was the wording of "partial inning" in the tie breaker rules. They were saying the 5 runs they served up to Italy should count as a partial inning, but as Fisk correctly states and all good scorers know, you have to retire someone to be credited with 1/3 inning pitched. Had they done that, they would be still in. But that's what you get for sending Oliver Freaking Perez out there in a 9th inning jam.
