    I agree. On male-dominated sites like this it's very easy for posters to want to compete for "man points" when discussing the fairer sex. I'm in no way defending the ongoing meme, but on other sports boards your posts would be responded to with pictures of kitchens. Your intelligent baseball comments would be met by requests for nude pics. This might not be a perfect place, but I think it's more evolved than some of the cesspools I've been on.

    All this talk of improving DH - how are we offloading Hanley, because there's nowhere else to play him.

    I don't follow the Yankees enough to know, but seems like any time I hear about Girardi is a f*** up. That beautiful intentional walk of a punch and judy hitter to bring up the grand slam from a few seasons ago comes to mind.

    I know I wouldn't, but stranger things have happened. What I am really hoping for is he is still with the Marlins when he doesn't opt out, and screws them. Of course, Loria will be long gone by then.

    Well, he's off to a great start. And don't take this thread to mean I personally think he should be fired, just making conversation because I'm sure it's what some of us are thinking.

    I think the best approach is to wait til he opts out, but I don't know if we have the flexibility to sign him. I'm not into taking on the contract as it stands AND giving up talent. This postseason disaster has shown we need to keep as much talent as we can.

    Of course, all this talk of how our best pitchers failed needs to be tempered by the fact Corey Kluber just got klobbered.

    He's the architect of two straight postseason disasters. His ace pitchers have failed in the big spot. He has not replaced Papi. His offense just wasn't meant for these times. Do you trust him to fix the roster next season? Has he done enough to warrant another year or two? Someone said it's enough just making the postseason. No, not in this town and not with this payroll.
