    UN was giving us partial season stats, but like I said, he's gone on hot streaks before, but really his lows are so alarming. Very high K rates - he looks absolutely lost. Hard to say what effect the freak injury had on his development, but he should be further along than this.

    Wow, you actually have to be an ESPN Insider to read Keith Law say the Pirates signing Morton is good and Volquez bad. Stellar analysis like that should definitely come at a premium.

    So another team is willing to pick up the $6mil tab? Big risk, based on half a season. He's done that before, but has never gotten any consistency to his hitting. (And to qualify the word big, no not as big as signing Cano for a decade, but still a relative high risk for dollars involved).

    He's underachieved so much and still cannot hit a curveball. I have a hard time seeing another team desperate enough to trade for him, and like you say, it has to be for a very low return.

    They gave a 40 year old a 2 year contract? His ERA and WHIP have declined two years running, and last season looks almost too good to be true, but probably due to playing for Oakland, and now he's moving to even more of a pitcher's park.

    Morrison has been injured a lot, but I thought he'd have slightly more value than Carter Capps, who so far has sucked ass equally against lefties and righties. I guess the Marlins just tired of the Twitter drama and wanted him off the team asap.

    So according to an anonymous source, Cano didn't want to hit second because it hurt his value in getting a big contract. He didn't want to play for Girardi as a result. I agree he's better used as middle of the order, but needs must as the devil drives.

    But hockey has way more scoring chances. Soccer has long periods of the ball going back and forth between the teams without a shot on goal.
