  1. Dice-k is averaging 5.97 innings this season. Beckett is averaging 5.70 this season.
  2. Haha, you're having a rough night. This is the bullpen thread, not the trade deadline thread.
  3. So he's a right handed left fielder hitting .270 with a .740 ops? How is he different than Darnell McDonald?
  4. I don't know why they haven't just gone out and got someone by now. There are 57 relievers with an ERA under 3.00, 67 under 3.51, and 87 under 4.0. Is it that hard to get one of them?
  5. No worries, I just made a very similar comment on the Yankee Prospect thread a week or two ago, and assumed you were referring to that.
  6. Haha, was that a joke at me? In my defense, Jacko had 6 posts straight that one time
  7. Oh, I know they weren't bees. But its still pretty awesome.
  8. Bees huh? Let's all calm down by reminiscing over a hilarious part of recent Yankee history. http://blog.nj.com/ledgerupdates_impact/2007/10/large_yankL.jpg
  9. I think Dice-k and Buchholz deserve a ton of credit this season. Lester has done what everyone expected-- fighting for a cy young with Cliff and Felix, Beckett lost half a season, and Lackey has had his ups and downs. But Buch and Dice-k have pitched far better than anyone should have expected them to, and they've done so much towards keeping the team together.
  10. Isn't Dipre moving to the U.S. soon anyway?
  11. Bill Hall deserves those 8.5 million dollars.
  12. Sure, he's not worth 7+ million a year. But I think he's definitely worth 4-5 million a year to some team out there, so if they pick up some(but leave most) of his contract, they can put that money towards Werth or Crawford.
  13. Do you? He costs more than he's worth, he's bad defensively, he's hitting badly, he doesn't have value as a pinch runner, and he has been on this team for less than a year, he spent a lot of time on the DL when the team needed him the most and they put fan-favorite Nava back to AAA to make room for his worthless ass.
  14. Seriously, Tito is great at dealing with personalities and all, but he never seems to want the best players available, so we get an ugly bobble from Hall.
  15. Solution-- Nava-Kalish-McDonald But seriously, Hall can play the outfield, so why have Patterson/Hermida in, and leave Lowrie out, especially after a big game for him yesterday. Hermida plays poor defense and is seriously slumping. Lowrie is a significantly better 2B than Hall, Hall is a significantly better OF than Hermida, so put Lowrie at 2B, and Hall in LF. Is that a hard decision?
  16. Did anyone else see both Patterson and Hermida just let those two balls fall a foot in front of them? That should be completely unacceptable, both of those were easy plays and they showed zero hustle.
  17. Screw it, I think we should resign Beltre. Edit:Also, screw Hermida, I think we should recall Nava.
  18. Pineiro is out of the game. Too bad for the guy, but it certainly is going to help this team.
  19. I know you're a big sox fan, but have a serious problem of overlooking the facts because of bias. In Sabathia's last 8 starts, the Yankees are 7-1. In Lester's last 8 starts, the Sox are 4-4.
  20. Would you mind starting a Hermida is a bust thread?
  21. You know how usually the Sox lose a lot of good scoring opportunities and regret it? I hope this inning will come back to bite the Angels.
  22. Hermida just made a beautiful throw, but it looked like Lowrie wanted to hit the base first.
  23. What a beautiful chin haha.
