  1. Google "cots contracts". I don't think options are there, although I haven't found a reliable place to find that.
  2. Seeing as they both hit better against lefties than righties I would think not. I think Francona wants to give Scutaro rest... and maybe take his cold bat out of the lineup.
  3. Spiteful much. You should just move up to Boston and get it over with

    MLB2MTL?

We went over this in another thread. They have 9 teams from major sports leagues, a handful of exceptional college sports teams, a ton of spring training games, the 5th most prestiguous tennis tournament all year... and a ton of beaches, theme parks, along with s*** poor demographics for sporting events. "Large Population= large attendance" is a good idea in theory, but not in practice.

    MLB2MTL?

If this is going to happen, can we please move one of teams from the oversaturated Florida market instead of Oakland please?
  6. Well, this pitcher's ERA is below 1. So, I simply meant that I figured we were going to crush him despite how well he's done in his first few starts.
  7. Doubront is going to be competing for the 4th starter spot for the playoffs. That's a testament just how desperate this team is for starting depth right now.
  8. Yes, since May actually.
  9. Does this make anyone else physically ill out of sheer shock factor? Not that I'm complaining or anything, but he's playing significantly better than his minor league numbers would have suggested, and Vmart's numbers are way down. I'll be the first to admit I was 110% wrong about Salty, but seriously, did anyone expect him to be the kind of guy who would be posting a 5.0 WAR averaged over 160 games?
  10. We weren't planning on it.
  11. On another note-- why hasn't Doubront's name been coming up much? In 13 starts at Pawtucket, he has a 3.20 ERA this year with a 1.22 WHIP, and nearly 8 K/9. I bet he's a much better option than most of the guys in this rotation right now.
  12. Right, but a bench player is exactly what this team needed. To stress my point further, he has a .944 OPS against lefties this year. Yeah, despite the .230 BABIP.
  13. Kuroda for Federowicz? Wow, the Dodgers seemed to really want him.
  14. How on earth does Lackey have 9 wins? God bless this offense.
  15. That's ridiculous. Greatness when healthy has never been Bedard's problem. Its how rarely "when healthy" has been.
  16. For all the negative things you could say about Aviles, he can kill lefties. .800 career against them, even better recently.
  17. Thank you for 2007.
  18. Saw the K's, and just was wondering if the gametime I had seen was wrong. Apparently not.
  19. Wait, is this an afternoon game?
  20. I'm telling you. Its time to screw the U.S medical system and switch to Voodoo.
  21. He actually has a very good track record when it comes to medical predictions. But then again, that's probably because every injury to this team has gone very badly lately.
  22. And hit 50 home runs
