    What an ALCS. I don't even know where to begin digging into some of the topics on TS. Brasier deserved the MVP. Cora seems to get more trust than than most managers. And that defense, damn that defense.

    The start times for this series have been painful. Game 2 started at 11 AM for me, on a weekday. How am I supposed to watch the game, sulk about the Sox getting crushed, and post to Talksox all at work?

    Eight days left before the deadline, might as well take a look. If he has a good week, the Sox have more trade leverage. If he's not ready, atleast they know.

    The talks sports radio out here in Seattle has been talking about how the Mariners keep getting shutout. They've been averaging 1 run a game the last 9 games. But getting shut out by Brian Johnson? I can't believe it.

    Wright's last start against the Orioles, eight runs, one inning pitched. This start, eight innings pitched, one run. Knuckleballers are fun, right?

    I'm cautiously optimist about this one. That being said, DD better bring us another trophy.

    An ace is an ace. Moncada is the starting point, plus Pomeranz and maybe others. My concern is when Chicago starts asking for three our four significant pieces like Bradley Beni and Erod on top of that.

    Woah, Tyson Ross nontendered. If there's a chance he gets healthy, he's definitely worth risking a flier on.

    Does anyone else feel nervous about Dave's ability to build a bullpen? Elite bullpens are becoming a bigger and bigger part of strong playoff teams, and that's always been DD's fatal flaw.

    The Peavy deal looks much better in light of the Pomeranz deal.

    That was during the weird period where letting good players go was very profitable with draft picks. Between VMart and Beltre, they pulled in Bradley, Swihart, Owens and Barnes. Not signing Beltre was a mistake, but I'm not sure anyone knew he was going to look like a hall of fame candidate right now.

    Exagerating a bit here? Price has been mediocre in the playoffs, and generally has given up 2-5 runs per start. The only time he's given up more than 5 was against the 2013 Red Sox. Either way, its SSS.

    Its only a two run game, and Bauer isn't exactly an ace. It may be a game for Pomeranz.

    My problem with the Kimbrel trade was he just added Asujae and Allen in as throw-ins to a deal that really didn't need throw-ins. Asuajae had a .870 OPS in AAA this year as a middle infielder with some speed. Meanwhile, the Yankees grabbed Chapman for practically nothing.
