  1. Couldn't hurt to see more Workman.... unless Buchholz wants some big league action!
  2. Vogelsong is batting practice. He also throws righthanded. Win this.
  3. Second base, CF, RF defense are all exceptional. SS is above average. 3B is average to above average. 1B hasn't been great, but it hasn't been a problem either. Salty sucks. Gomes is a platoon partner. Besides that, the defense is very very good.
  4. Gotta love Sabathia's fall from grace. It makes me smile whenever I think about it.
  5. A-rod scores. As entertaining as his AB was, it wasn't worth losing the game over.
  6. I have never heard a crowd from Fenway like this ever. They are never EVER this loud, even in the playoffs.
  7. Anyone else tired of the sunday night games? It feels like there has been a ton of them lately, and next Sunday is an 8 o clock versus the Dodgers.
  8. In all fairness, that's exactly what they've been doing.
  9. With all the big money teams out of the bidding, it'll definitely be worth taking a very serious look at Abreu.
  10. Daniel Nava followed closely by John Lackey.
  11. Here's Pal's stat of the day. Salty's CERA -- 4.00. Ross's CERA -- 3.00. Salty's OPS versus lefties .590. Ross' OPS versus lefties .728. David Ross returns Monday. He's a guy who could help stabilize the pitching, and offset some of the problems we've seen against left handed pitching.
  12. Really? Really?
  13. The question everyone has been wondering, but have been too afraid to ask. Is Xander Bogaertz the healthy equivalent of Jed Lowrie?
  14. Did anyone else just lose all faith in humanity?
  15. I always argue the point... At the end of a player's career, career save numbers, and save percentages matter significantly more than they do season-by-season. Anyone can get lucky for a season, but only quality players can do it for their career.
  16. The loss was on the offense, not on the single run Workman gave up.
  17. Did Orsillo just say that both sides have pitched well tonight? Strange thing to say.
  18. Fortunately Workman saved the pen some work last night with some quality innings.
  19. Raja Davis having a phenomenal series offensively and defensively.
  20. The offense has been ugly with RISP. But Peavy is pitching an absolute gem, and the Red Sox are winning. Keep the faith.
  21. I know you're here, but you weren't bitching about the game.
  22. Gentlemen, please. The Red Sox ARE winning this game afterall.
  23. Peavy really doesn't allow many baserunners. But the homeruns hurt him. I'm surprised he's doing so well against this lineup.
