  1. Here's another one for you. http://cdn2.mocksession.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/DISAPPEARING-TORII-HUNTER.gif
  2. Morneau -> Rockies. Napoli is running out of suitors. Time to bring him home. Apparently the Red Sox offered Salty 2/18 to the Marlins 3/22. He got greedy, and the game of musical chairs screwed him. I really hope Napoli doesn't make the same mistake.
  3. If Cano leaves the Yankees, Drew seems like a lock for the Yanks. Teams are hesitant to give up a first rounder, but the Yanks would be losing a late third rounder... seems like a nonfactor to them.
  4. I would like to cite Chart 1, article 2a and 2b. I would also like to cite Chart 1, article 3a and 3b.
  5. UNLEASH the CHART!!!
  6. Who left after 2007? Youk and Okajima were well past their primes when they ended up with the Yanks.
  7. Its an awful contract. He's been averaging 3.5 WAR a year throughout his career, not a 150 million dollar guy. They're also losing an equivalent player in Granderson who probably will outperform him for the rest of his career.
  8. Sorry bro, but isn't the same thread as 2014 Roster Projections?
  9. Here is the list of players the Yankees need to replace: Alex Rodriguez Andy Pettite Curtis Granderson Robinson Cano Kuroda Mariano Rivera That's a s***-ton of talent to replace. The crazy part is that Ellsbury may not even outproduce the guy he is replacing in Granderson.
  10. This doesn't feel like one of his moves. One of the owners must have wanted Ells.
  11. They just paid 8 million for a guy who will essentially be a stopgap. Small market teams would have penciled in Butler and called it a day.
  12. Don't say never on Cano.
  13. The Rays are vastly improved? They lost James Loney. They're probably going to lose David Price. They signed two catchers, but you know what? Neither of those guys had OPSes higher than .590. .590!! They have nice arms, but their bats make them not nearly as valuable as you'd like to think.
  14. There is an option for a 8th year. There are no words.
  15. Someone wake up Ben.... He'll get a big hearty boob laugh out of this. Then go on making another championship team out of players who want to be here
  16. Time for the yanks to sell the farm for pitching ?
  17. 153 million for jacoby. There are no words.
  18. AJ had an OPS of .700 last year with a .299 OBP. In AA, CV had a .770 OPS with a .377 OBP.
  19. 3/22 to the worst team in baseball. Feeling glad the Red Sox didn't offer him the QO.
  20. Here's the crazy part. Tampa just paid 6 million for Heath Bell. They NEVER pay big bucks on players, and they ALWAYS turn over the hill relievers into all-stars. Pal's 1st fearless prediction of the year -- Heath Bell is the most valuable piece traded in this deal.
  21. So just to recap... The Tigers got a team's #5 prospect for a top of the rotation starter, and the Reds got a team's #6 prospect for a catcher who hit .198 last year.
  22. AJ Pierz won a "Good Guy" Award in Texas. The beauty of signing a jerk to a one year deal is that it puts them in a difficult position to actually be a jerk. They need to get acquainted with the team, they have no pull over other players. When was the last time any of us went to a new job, new school and immediately started causing problems? It just doesn't happen, because the natural reaction is to adjust first. By the time he gets comfortable, Vazquez comes up and replaces him. The Red Sox also has a veteran pitching staff that won't take s*** from him. Although, if someone gives the young arm in the staff -- Doubront -- some s***, maybe it won't be the end of the world anyway.
  23. 8 million ? Ew. I was hoping for 4.
  24. Important to note- aj hits righties better, Ross lefties, making it an even platoon split.
  25. Confirmed as a one year deal.
