  1. ESPN has him at 6'0" 185 as well, while yahoo puts him at 5'11" 245 lol
  2. Cliff Lee was on WIP in Philly with Angelo Cataldi last week and gave some insight to his decision Who finished second to the Phillies in his mind: “Texas probably finished second to be honest with you. Just as far as the quality of the team and the chance to win a World Series ring, I think they’re a better team. That’s just my opinion. The Yankees can do anything at any moment to improve and they’re not afraid to go do things. That was part of the decision making process too, but I felt like with what the Red Sox had done and it seems like some of the Yankee guys are getting older, but I liked the Rangers.” Interesting. Of course, if you go by average age of the roster, Philly is the oldest team in all of baseball. New York is ninth.
  3. Heat blew out the Spurs this time, 110-80

  5. It sounded like you were comparing Mo's talents to that of a decent starting pitcher, claiming any of them could be just as good as him if limited to 1 inning, if not better. So any 'decent' starting pitcher could be the greatest closer of all time if they decided to switch roles?
  6. Thats a big slap in the face to Mo', you're basicly claiming he's a decent pitcher that only excels because he's a closer? Hitters know whats coming from Mo and it doesn't help them one bit. His cutter is nothing short of perfection. [youtube=Mo]dMVXjRGTtG0
  7. Probably, I'd never associate Alex Gonzalez with leading the majors in home runs
  8. Agree. It’s the spring. Even teams who don’t stand to go anywhere like the Astros are feeling optimistic and, more importantly, are selling it to their fans. Even the Yankees will want to see where they stand with what they have. No one is trading a front of the rotation starter right now.
  9. Not if Bautista puts up 50+ again
  10. Cleveland was 61-20 last year with Lebron, this year their already 12-50
  11. Same with Texeira
  12. Yeah I considered Ichiro to be a lock so I didn't mention him, same with Pujols.
  13. I'd say these guys are on pace for the HoF Miguel Cabrera Chase Utley Mark Teixeira Prince Fielder Roy Halladay Justin Morneau Matt Holliday David Wright Tim Lincecum Felix Hernandez Ryan Braun Johan Santana Ryan Howard Hanley Ramirez Joe Mauer Evan Longoria
  14. I'll change it up and name some non-Sox, Mariano Rivera, Derek Jeter , Alex Rodriguez, possibly CC Sabathia and Robinson Cano (too early to tell)
  15. Well said, I was trying to get something along those lines across.
  16. The formula I used was 213 - 32 + 9 = 190 while 168 + 32 - 9 = 191
  17. Yanks 2010 Payroll :213 Red Sox 2010 Payroll: 168 If the Yanks had traded A Rod for Youkilis they would've both been around 190. Thats 1 player being the difference between the teams.
  18. If they had no limits you would see an All-Star player at every position; blowing away the competition, their self imposed limit is around $200,000,000.
  19. Seems like this is just a rumor, Cashman told Wallace Matthews: "I'm not talking to anyone about anything right now. Nobody's available. Nobody of value, anyway."
  20. I'm down
  21. The ball that struck Beckett was hit by Red Sox staffer Ino Guerrero, who was standing in the outfield hitting shagged balls with a fungo bat back to a bucket behind second base when one got away from him during batting practice.
  22. Betances hit 97mph on the radar as well
