  1. I don't know much about him, actually. I haven't followed the Celtics, or anyone, as I have no TV. Suckitude!
  2. And he STILL hasn't answered the question. Short attention span ftw!
  3. Are you such a mental defect that you can't even answer the question?
  4. Diony/Jacko arguments are dumber than a second coat of paint.
  5. Filled with....... Air
  6. It's damaging to his trolldom.
  7. Hows about doing us a favor and going back to 4chan where you belong?
  8. Dude, Javier Vasquez SUCKS ASS. He went 5-15 with a 6.06 ERA in 1998. And don't get me started with that Curtis Granderson guy: .681 OPS in 2004! They are full of suck this year! To think they wasted money on that s***!
  9. This has been a really slow thread. Holy hell.
  10. His argument holds about as much weight as Nicole Richie's rack.
  11. I'd call you a homer, but you're from Australia (Kidding)
  12. I'd say he's definitely worth the money, and I've always been against the length since they were talking about a 7 or 8 year deal. With Pujols, he was absolutely fantastic, I see him having a big year next year. Well, the years after for that matter too.
  13. *Waits for the homer assault*
  14. Exact same way I see it, except for I think the Bengals may beat the Jets. The Vikings are not going to be playing in the cold for the entire playoffs, so I don't see Brett having his usual slip up in the snow. However, I don't think that'll give us enough to beat the Colts. Peyton Manning is just so much better than any other QB. Imagine what he could do with the weapons Favre has. Anyways, yeah, I think it will be a close game considering that the team playing for Favre is superior, with a usually superior defense. I think losing Henderson really hurts, but the rest of the D is still strong enough to be a powerful unit. I dunno, I think this is a pretty high scoring game though. Both teams probably break the 30 point barrier.
  15. No way Beltre and Scutaro are anywhere close to Pedroia and Youk. We may very well have the best right-side infield in the league offensively and defensively, left side, not so much, as Scutaro is only viable at SS, and neither are at their counterpart's level offensively. As a total, though, I completely agree with you. Outfield is sick, but has downgraded with the loss of Bay, but Cameron's a very good defensive upgrade, and moving Ellsbury to left was the right choice. Infield is awesome, 1B, 2B and 3B could all legitimately win Gold Gloves, and offensively, all of them are very solid. I expect Beltre to at least do what Lowell did offensively, while supplying the GG defense. Rotation is best in baseball, no need to compare. Lester, Beckett and Lackey are by far the most formidable front three in baseball. Bullpen is still sick, with Bard, Pap, Delcarmen, etc etc etc, may be the best in baseball. So yeah, there's no reason why with what is probably the best defense in baseball, the best pitching in baseball, a top 5 lineup, and consistency throughout the lineup, that we cannot contend with the Yankees for the division. I am very optimistic about where this is headed.
  16. He had respectable OPS in his three seasons with more than 500 PA, and is .270/.339/.471 (.810) in 921 PA's vs. LHP. He HAS hit 35 HR's before. '05-'07 he was a pretty solid player. I think he's a pretty good addition to the team.
  17. This is a lot of pessimistic guessing, really. There's really not much logic at all to that argument. Use career stats, rather than several small sample sizes to make your case. That being said, I think a Lowell type offensive year is going to happen, with the defense being awesome. Seriously, give those small sample sizes a rest.
  18. Edgar sucked on defense, for one. And how many PA's did he have against any of those AL East teams? Stick to logic, it's a park friendly to hitters, he's a gold glove defender, he's capable of hitting 25 HR's at Safeco. Wouldn't it be a safe bet to say he might be able to put up Lowell-esque offensive stats, with slightly better power, and vastly superior defense?
