We definitely have the best rotation... And I don't know that I'd say Seattle has least runs allowed, their rotation drops off massively after Hernandez and Lee.

We certainly will dominate at home, but I think our pitching can keep us in almost any game. We have a top-notch bullpen, as well as the best rotation in baseball.

The offense is more complete, and I expect better-than-past seasons from Ortiz and Beltre, and Cameron could also benefit from Fenway pretty nicely.

I'd say that this year, the offense has potential to be possibly slightly better than last year's. Gonzalez is replaced by Scutaro, and of course, Tek replaced by Martinez. Lowell is replaced by Beltre, who could potentially have a big year in store, and I think Papi comes back nicely, and without the early season slump (I assume).

No, he just can't play 3B at all. There's a reason people have been saying move Youk to third and Lowell to first, because that would be a much better option than having Lowell at 3rd. Absolute liability now on D.

No. Just no. Lowell is not at all viable at 3B, he's a huge liability on defense, and Lowrie is not to be counted on. Beltre is a MASSIVE upgrade over Lowell on defense, and could potentially be an offensive upgrade as well. He could definitely return to the 30+ HR plateau, something which I see him doing this season. But Lowell at 3B? I think everyone has agreed that Lowell can absolutely not play anywhere on defense besides possibly first. That's the whole point of switching Youkilis to 3rd and having Lowell play first. However, this is much better.

But we simply don't have 4 first basemen... One of them's a catcher, and one is too much of a liability on defense to be anything other than a DH. The only reason he's ever played 1B was because his bat was worth the liability.

I always thought Martinez was a catcher, and that David Ortiz wasn't a position player at all, due to the fact that most pitchers could play a better first base than he could.
