I think they're still in it for Bedard. maybe Garza. But Theo is going to have to bite the bullet and give up a prospect or two. He has to be PROACTIVE. Unlike some other people that come to mind.

Yeah. this one sounds pretty dumb. Harden is not sound--for cripes sake. never has been. They are dealing nothing for him, so what's the difference? Beane is giving them a soundness discount. Well, the difference is they have a roster space and a trade chip to go for another pitcher. But they just farted away time--like those farts in Washington. I don't know why they don't get Bedard. He has looked good this year. even his first rusty start back, he threw well. He could be perfect against the Yankees. Theo waits to the last minute to get the best deal--and then misses out on people. Other teams put up early and get the cream. Theo would rather have his teeth pulled than give up his prospects, unless he is in love with a player--usually unavailable. He's probably still trying to get Felix.

where is Bedard now in all this? He had some pretty good specs this year before his leg injury. I would get him, too. Better than what they have in the back of the rotation. Harden replaces Buchholz.

Right. they need him for the rest of the season and maybe the playoffs. He's Buchholz's replacement. And he's a lot better than Lackey.

I don't believe the media crap about Anderson. Billy Beane knows what he is doing. The Red Sox are dealing Anderson because AdGon owns first base for awhile.

I wish they would get Bedard, too. Bedard is liable to be a stud in NY. Any lefthander is better in Yankee stadium.

A healthy Harden may be better than Jiminez. But he's rarely healthy.

For Jiminez, he'll have to give up Middlebrooks. That's how he gets him.

I kinda figured he'd be involved where a first baseman might be needed. The Rockies only have Helton. I think the Sox match up well to deal with Denver.

I agree starting pitching should be their top priority. Fortunately, Theo also agrees. Get Jiminez, Theo.

next year they'll have a new bunch of studs. they draft well. they're also in a position to offer Lowrie now in this deal. Lowrie can hit in Colorado.

Heyman is full of crap with his Yankee hype. Remember when he said AdGon wouldn't sign with the Red Sox? Well, Jiminez is being traded to the Guardians--according to MLBtraderumors.com That takes the heat off the Sox, and now they can go after Bedard or Harden, since Kuroda (thank heavens) is staying in LA.

Aviles maybe indicates Lowrie is going somewhere, just off DL? Somebody is getting freed up to deal here. This ain't THE deal.

I don't believe any of this stuff coming out of the networks--which are mostly NY-based, anyways. Half of what you hear is about the Yankees. However, I refuse to believe the Yankees won't get a major pitcher. They'll do what it takes. That means they'll outbid everybody for Jiminez. They want another big stud to go with CC. Now. I'm not so sure about Theo. He has that love affair with his draftees which sometimes helps, but can also hurt. He is less likely to go the extra mile, adding another prospect. And I have my doubts about the Red Sox surviving the rest of the season with Wake, Lackey and Miller.

The Rumors say the Red Sox have turned to Kuroda, after Bedard's performance last night. Meanwhile, the Tigers grabbed Fister. I would be disappointed if all they got is Dice-Kuroda, who wants to stay on the West Coast. I don't believe all these twists and turns I'm seeing in the media.
