  1. If we're lucky, Weaver will be replaced by Kohn.
  2. Tha Angels bite - Period!
  3. For some strange reason, this Red Sox line-up just doesn't impress me.
  4. A rather anti-Lackey crowd in Anaheim. Gee, I wonder why?
  5. Woo-Hoo! Another Red Sox game on local TV. Life just doesn't get any better. Let's stick it to the Halos again.
  6. What the hell was Francona thinking, playing NL "little ball" against this Angel rookie. Quit trying to bunt and start swinging away. Obviously, you can light this Kohn kid up like a Christmas tree.
  7. Atchinson is 34, but looks and pitches like he's 64. He should be home collecting Social Security.
  8. damn! Why is Atchinson pitching, anyhow?
  9. Gracias, Papi!!!!
  10. Ok, Ok, I'll watch a little while longer.
  11. Maybe, I'd better turn the TV off.......
  12. Finally, a Red Sox game on local TV!! Last year, my cable company was in a pissing contest with Fox Sports West and blacked-out the entire Red Sox-Angel series.
  13. This is sweet payback for the Dodger sweep in L.A. back in 2002. Way to stick it to Joe Torre and company.
  14. Bottom line for me is I get to see the Red Sox in person, at max, three times during the regular season. Even with interleague play, Boston hasn't been hosted by the Dodgers in eight years. I have to rely on ESPN/TBS/FOX for any televised games, which ain't too damn many. Bud Selig can take interleague play and the unbalanced schedule and shove it where the sun don't shine.
  15. The fad is over. Dump interleague play and return to a balanced schedule. The Red Sox used to come West 3 times a year. Now, I get to see them for one three game series in Anaheim, if I'm lucky. They haven't played a regular season game against the Dodgers at Chavez Ravine since 2002.
  16. I only get to see a handful of Red Sox games per season. Ones like this, especially against my "hometown" team, make my life worth living.
  17. Beckett
  18. Eric Gagne is available, too.
  19. Most memorable to me was Teddy Ballgame homering in his last at bat. Made the front page of the Los Angeles Times' sports page. Nearly 50 years later, that edition is still hanging on my den wall.
  20. Rick Burleson deserves honorable mention.
  21. Frank Malzone is my all-time favorite Red Sox. My avatar says it all. When I began to follow the team, Ted Williams was in the twilight of his career. However, I did get to see both of them play in the second All Star game at the L.A. Coliseum on 08/03/1959. Malzie even poked a homer to the short left field porch off of Don Drysdale. When Ted retired, it was Yaz and then Tony C. They could make the dullest game a thrilling spectacle. Yaz was simply amazing.
  22. If only I had cable TV....
  23. V-Mart can handle Wake. No concern.
  24. I've seen Lackey pitch in quite a few games and have never been overly impressed. He's a damn good pitcher and will fit in quite nicely in the BoSox rotation. He's a gamer, that's for sure.
