Lol. Hahahahaha!!! Good one. I saw the press conference live. Not sure of his exact words but he did indicate that he was not aware of any Sox players that would be having surgery.

That fact that he is a f***ing gimp now is likely a deal breaker. That is an inescapable fact. Who wants a broken down 34 year old Smurf 2nd baseman at $13. mil a year?

I'd rather keep Mererro in that case. People tend to forget that he is the best defensive SS in the Sox org.

None of Pedroia's performance history and WAR mean much if his knee is junk. He has been a bargain but if he can not play the field anywhere near as well as he has and his bat is diminished he is useless. Expecting 90-110 games from him now seems optimistic if his knee is that f***ed up. And what of Nunez's knee? Those advocating him as a must sign to fill the likely gap Pedroia will create keep ignoring that his knee may prevent him from doing so.

I noticed i. I thought the organ guy was playing some cool stuff and it was interesting to hear Lenny Kravitz during the 7th inning review play at the plate. Other that that is was noise.

My Father was a tenured professor of Biology at Boston College that gave advise on birth control and how to alter your blood sugar to mess up your urine during induction when drafted. He also had wine in one of the fridges in his laboratory ( not the freezer with all the dead rats and nerve gas ). When he died several thousand people turned up at memorial service on campus. I'm pretty sure he would have been pissed at me for not taking advantage of the hundreds of cute coeds who spoke to me that day. He used to wear a button on his lapel that said "Sex Before Finals". His students thought he was great. Except for the grade grubbing pre-med students who he loathed and took great joy in failing. The Jesuits who ran the school only tolerated him because he was a famous and prominent scientist who brought acclaim to the school of sciences. -
I don't get why Hosmer is so desired by Sox fans. He does not offer much of what this team needs. Waste of money.
