  1. Not by name as he did with others in the FO. Go drink your latte.
  2. From Abraham. Statement released by John Farrell just now: Despite an end to this season that we all wanted to be different, I am proud of this ball club and the resiliency shown. I have enjoyed every moment of this job - its peaks and its valleys. There are few, if any, positions in life that create so much passion on a daily basis. I am grateful to an ownership group that gave me such a unique opportunity, and one that shared my desire to bring World Series championships to this great city. They supported me through a challenging and scary period in my own life, and I remain forever indebted. I am grateful to two front office groups that worked tirelessly to provide me with the players that could consistently match up with the very best in the game. Their time and resources made my job so much easier and fulfilling. I am thankful for fellow coaches who are far more than that - they are close friends. They have provided the necessary direction, guidance, and humor that have made the daily activities of a long season all that much more enjoyable. I am especially grateful for five years of great players - and people. This game has always been built around and for the players, and I have tried to respect that for five years in Boston. I have witnessed Hall of Famers, memorable Fenway wins, and countless private moments that will always be with me. Those relationships will remain cherished for years. The legions of fans who support this franchise keep their manager on his toes day in and day out. There are no days off when managing this proud franchise. I would not have wanted it any other way. Again, I thank John Henry, Tom Werner, Michael Gordon, and the ownership team for their faith in me and wish them nothing but the best moving forward. Lol. Notice he did not thank Dombrowski for anything.
  3. Me either.
  4. Re: Keep sending us your money.
  5. Like the physicals for Bailey, Hanrahan, Craig, Smith, Thornberg, etc. Yeah I have such faith in the Sox brass.
  6. That would be cool. I doubt it, though.
  7. Are we still talking about Stanton?????
  8. Not to me. If it weren't for the advancement of microprocessor technology that dweeb would not have his job. He shows no real understanding of the game, only an ability to state stats and crap he found on his device.
  9. Yup. Not just on WEEI but on Comcast as well.
  10. Merloni calls everyone out. He has been on Farrell for quite a while.
  11. Lol. Amen.
  12. Oh yes. "Save baseball in Pawtucket". That disingenuous piece of dog s*** threatens to move the team to Worceter and then when that bluff does not work he poses as the savior of Pawtucket baseball all the while demanding that a bankrupt city and the state fund or subsidize his business. Not surprised since I have always seen him as a s*** stain.
  13. That's what I suggested and that is what I believe. Still, it is predictable that the press at the very least will s*** all over Farrell. It's a mad scramble to find and to keep a media job in this market. Those f***s will t-bone anyone to score points. Especially someone who is not in a position to defend themselves.
  14. Hmm. Never knew he was from Manfield. You must be beaming with pride. Anyway, did you read his piece? Again, I never heard a f***ing peep about this clubhouse discord led by Price and the Gimp. If any of this is true than Price is a major douche bag and Pedroia is no better. And with this cast of miscreants, how will a new manager change the outcome next year? What a bunch of f***ing pussies.
  15. Tomasi had this to say:http://www.weei.com/articles/column/tomase-red-sox-manager-john-farrell-sacrificed-because-david-price-was-terrible
  16. Hahahahahahaha!1!111! It will be interesting to see if they say s*** about him now. I always assumed that Luchino was behind that stuff and he is gone.
  17. Yup.
  18. And that is what I have proposed. You don't have to like it or agree with it.
  19. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!1!1!!!1
  20. Ignore the twit.
  21. I just think it's kind of hinky to tank for draft picks and sit a player only to prevent him from reaching a vesting option. I won't lose any sleep over it. I just think its a poor way to do business. Make your bed and lay in it.
  22. Other than protecting an expensive asset what health concerns are there?
  23. Not necessarily. I would keep Betts in right if I could but would consider putting him in Center. The move would be to put Stanton out there somewhere. I doubt that he can cover RT in Fenway anywhere near as well as Betts but would he be a drastically bad liability? Also, when I started voicing concern about Beni's play in left people were quik to make light of it and pointed out that he had always been a CF and was making adjustments to playing LF. Now it seems people are reluctant to have him play CF because he is a butcher. Well, what is it? I acknowledge that our outfield defense will take some kind of hit if Stanton plays there but it's not like he is a f***ing hack out there. I just like the idea of having such a big bat and for so many years. He has what, 8 years reaming? 9? I can see him being productive for at least 5-6 at the 35-40 mark and then maybe if healthy dropping off a smidge. I think it's worth the gamble and we can deal with extending our not so young anymore core when if happens.
