  1. I may not have quoted a700 accurately. I think he may have said that he is streaky within a season. Has Duda been linked to the Sox at all?
  2. Ah. I see. Didn't he hurt a previously repaired knee when Machollo hit him?
  3. Yeah I saw all that. He did have 600 AB this year which is 202 more that his 14 HR year, I think. Maybe the Trop suits him. Also, I think he is a LHH as well and throw RH. Yeah I was scraping the barrel with him but Jesus he did have big numbers this year. That can be intoxicating and deceptive. a700 says Duda sucks. He is all or nothing and inconstant if I recall. Also, I read today that Moreland was playing with a f***ed up knee from playing so long with his broken toe. He was to find out today if he needs the knife ( scope ). It will be a shame to see him go. I think he fits here and he does love it here. You can't discount those two things easily.
  4. If he is healthy, that is. Everyone should be nervous about Pedroia. There is already speculation in the Boston media that he may consider retirement. He has been under the knife every off-season, it seems. f*** Stanton. Make a play for Altuve!!!
  5. Morrison is wicked cheap at $2.5 mil. He seems to be the same kind of crap that Duda is without the year to year HR production. Still, 38 HR is nothing to sneeze at.
  6. Just looked at Duda and he seems to be Chris Davis Light. Is there a RHH version of him somewhere? Also, is that kid in Tampa untouchable? Morrison?
  7. Sounds workable, I guess. How is 84/4 EE type money? He got 60/3. I'd hate to commit to 3 years on Nunez even for what appears to be short money. No one not in an MLB FO is an expert at FA contract projections.
  8. Oh. So it's a good deal then.
  9. JBJ, ERod, Swihart, and two other pieces of chum ( take your pick Jeets ). A thousand times Stanton.
  10. Ultimately it does come down to how much the Ghoul wants to shell out.
  11. What is your point? It's a different market now. Bob Gibson was great but David Price makes more money.
  12. Bargain money once Harper hits the market.
  13. What does any of this matter if he can't play the field, swing a bat, or run the bases? If his knee or any other parts of his body are that f***ed up counting on him for "90" games is just foolishness. Go get someone who is a front line 2nd baseman or live with Lin, Merrero, Holt, or Hernandez. It will be so fun to listen to people bitch all season about how we should have had a real 2nd baseman.
  14. No one wants to think about finding another second baseman. Especially if they believe that Nunez will be healthy. That is dumb as well.
  15. So the obvious solution is to get one, maybe two second tier power hitters and toss a decent defender with pop. All will be good. Yankee fans should be shaking in their boots.
  16. What do you see those three costing each year and in length of contract?
  17. Hanley will be back, no doubt. I am hoping that he gets the boot if he sucks donkey dicks as he did this year. ALDS not withstanding, of course. I think patch working the power shortage is a lame approach ( although Martinez may be a decent get ) and trying to suppress Hanley's ABs is a dumb and unethical thing to do. Let's all hope he finds the fountain of youth and some really good homeopathic remedy for his sore shoulders. I think he's an over paid former star that will inhibit building this team to where it needs to be to challenge in the post season.
  18. So I happened to see Rosenthal on MLB tonight saying that there were communication problems between Farrell and the players all season and that when asked about this after the game yesterday Pedroia side stepped the question and would only say how every player had done their best to win this year. Rosenthal also said that Farrell is under contract through 2018 and the question for Sox management is weather to extend him or allow him to be a lame duck. His opinion is that Farrell is gone and that Luvello is the best man for the job even though he is in Arizona now. I wonder about this communication problem. Did it exist? I had not heard of it. I recall when BB traded Lawer Milloy to Buffalo how the talking heads on ESPN said that all the Pats players hatted BB and would not play well for him. Of course that turned out to be nonsense. So if you believe all this noise then Farrell is a goner. I don't know what to believe. Has anyone here heard of this communication problem?
  19. Then be satisfied finishing no higher than 2nd in the division.
  20. Weaksouce.
  21. Then where does Bird fit in?
  22. And he show no interest in doing so. Being a fan favorite is not enough.
  23. Does not bother me either. I just posted that for those that believe MLB experience may be a prerequisite.
  24. Cora would jump at this opportunity in a heartbeat. Then he would age about ten years in one season.
