I'm wondering about elbow tightness. Could it be a precursor to TJS? I hope not but I would not be surprised. Buch just has not been able to pitch a good complete season.

Thunder you just got this thread off to a glorious start! It warmed my heart to see purple lips get plunked. This one moment is why you will never hear me utter one single bad syllable about Ryan Dempster. He was over the hill by the time he came to Boston. But this play is up there with Tek plastering his mitt in that purple pussy's face.

I've taken an interest in the Cubs for the same reasons. I usually don't follow the NL very closely but now I have several reasons to. Plus, I want some other team to put it to those pretentious and obnoxious Cards fans.

Another aspect of Bogey's development that has been very noticeable is his judgment. We don't see him trying to do too much either on the field or in the box. This means less bad throws and fewer flailings at the plate. -
Do Cincy fans expect that their club will spend mega dollars to resign Cueto?

No Thunder, I did not see your subsequent comments until after I made my latest comment. I see no reason for further discussion of this topic. I like SCM even if I do not agree with everything he says. This is how I feel about you and most everyone else on this board. He does not need my defense. Although when I see a comment that was incitefull and antagonistic about him I reserve the privilege to counter. Much the same as I would defend VA, a700, UN, and other good people that I have come to admire over the years on Talksox.

Except that the high power offense had only 5 hits. They were able to capitalize on some shoddy defense, though.

I see no reason for you to be butt hurt over what I said. Your comment had nothing to do with the thread that SCM started. It was a childish thing to say. SCM like most long standing members of this board deserves just a little more respect than that.

The Williams sisters have always scared me. They look like the Predator from the original movie. They are larger and stronger than all of the other women players too. They are very skilled. I wonder how they would have fared against Navratolova.

I just wonder what the Sox saw in Sandoval that made them think that he was the "Get". He has had two very good years at the plate and none in the past 5-6 years. He does not hit for power either. Look at his EBH over his career. I always thought that corner infielders were supposed to hit for some power. His defense is only below average to average. His lateral range is almost nonexistent. He makes too many errant throws. Just not a good buy.

I think for now and as long as his legs and feet can tolerate it this is the best lineup. I have always said that Ortiz can play a decent 1st base. Although I have not seen him throw much. I am unhappy about one of my favorite players ( Napoli ) having such a bad year at the plate. Although his power numbers are better that the fat one at 3rd. Long term this will not work. I don't really think Ortiz playing occasional 1st base will help his HOF status at all. He needs to play next year and eclipse 500 HR t have his best shot. I have a feeling that outside of New England he will have a tough time getting enough support for HOF induction. People still see him as a PED cheater. I say he belongs.

Hardly. I too am glad the Sox have been winning. I just call them as I see them. Sandoval was an expensive mistake.
