    Maybe not. But remove him from his seat and bring him to standing room only or other place where he can still watch the game without interfering with it. In any case Farrell is on the job. He has to stand there and do his job. He has every reasonable expectation that he should be able to do so without that kind of distraction.

    Maybe so but his approach in the box seems to have changed. He has been swinging wildly at many pitches outside the zone ( many down and out ). I don't know what to think of it. What do you see as his problem at the plate for the past 3 months or so?

    As much as I want the Sox to prevail against Cleveland, I really enjoy seeing and hearing Tito. Some criticize him for this or that as a manager. Some may be valid, I suppose. But he can never be criticized for his public persona. The guy has been real, honorable, intelligent, honest, a good person, and just plain wicked funny since I've been aware of him ( his first live interview on WEEI while he was in Ft. Myers traffic in his rental car. Someone plowed into him! It was a f***ing riot. ).

    I'm not happy with how the regular season ended either. And I would have been far more confident if the Sox had achieved HFA. No matter how inconsequential many believe it to be. I don't know if Farrell is to blame for the malaise in the last weeks or so. The players did not perform. Bottom line.

    I'm a huge JBJ fan. But many of his throws ( particularly to home ) this season have been way off the mark. They seem to go to the rf side of home. He needs to work on putting his body in position to throw not just strongly but with accuracy. And what Beni did last night should never happen. He zoned out. His job was to catch the ball and make a throw that prevented the runner from advancing to second. Instead he either forgot that a runner was on 1st or thought that there were two outs. Either way, his brain fart allowed a runner to advance into scoring position and that runner scored. It was not a rookie mistake. Just a plain old mistake.
