  1. I bet you have a Christy Mihos bumper sticker on your car.
  2. Dunn is only 30 and has better lifetime OBP and Slugging Pct than A-gon.
  3. Definitely time for the Yankees to dump Tex. Let's trade our two best players, Varitek and McDonald, for him...
  4. They made the right decision because Bay has an .823 OPS this April? Really? What's Drew's OPS this April? How about Beltre's? Or Cameron or Scutaro? Does the fact that they're all well under .823 mean the Sox made the wrong decision on them?
  5. I'll be shopping one of my starters when Strasburg gets called up.
  6. That fat lug I traded left me an 0-for-5 as a going away present today. Hope you have better luck with him than I did, Suns.
  7. Oops! He went from an 'awful' fielder to an 'awfully good' fielder without touching a ball! Think that'll change any minds around here?
  8. Nevertheless, I like his handle, BucShot.
  9. Tampa? To me, the Bay Area is San Francisco.
  10. Bottom line is this: with both Dotel and Vasquez s***ing the bed this year, it looks like your instincts were right.
  11. Ramirez has nasty stuff. Good to see him keep it under control tonight.
  12. Nice win. (Despite Butch Hobson down at 3rd again.)
  13. Nice throwing error. Over the TV. Whatever that means.
  14. Indeed, his throwing mechanics are poor. You and Korn were wrong when you claimed I invented that criticism. Not only can you read about his throwing mechanics by doing a simple Google search, you can also watch him throw and observe. That is, if you know anything about throwing mechanics. The fact that he has made it work for him over the course of his career doesn't mean it's not poor mechanics. As for my critique of his hands, do you deny that he has misplayed a number of balls so far as a member of the Red Sox? Do you deny that several balls that he hasn't misplayed have been snow coned in his glove? And finally, do you deny that you would criticize other players if they handled the ball the way Beltre has to date?
  15. Stone hands is my hyperbolic criticism of his errors, misplays and snow cones. It's my opinion, obviously, since humans don't really have hands made out of rock. OTOH, his throwing mechanics have been the subject of some discussion through the years. You wouldn't teach young players to throw like Beltre.
  16. They were seeing the ball very well tonight. Most of the hits were ropes.
  17. Not made up, not by me. His throwing mechanics have been the subject of much discussion throughout the years. Facts, check them before attacking fellow posters.
  18. 4 hours of riveting entertainment.
  19. Heck, he's only a couple years older than Cameron...
