That's the point. Farnsworth and Burnett could show Buchholz what happens if you throw 95-97 right down the middle, or in the opposite batter's box. Whether it's learning the lesson by watching it being done properly, or learning the lesson by watching what happens when it's not done properly, Farnsworth and Burnett can still teach Buchholz.
That's retarded. The only way the person would have the good guys is if he drafted them. So instead of putting them on the DL and garbage picking for replacements, you've made it so that the owner either has to release them all together, make a trade (and lose the trade or else nobody would trade for an injured player) or lose out on a flexible roster.
Besides, this league is active enough, so your 1 DL spot doesn't help anybody. There have probably been more trades now than would ever occur in the other league. Diony is the perfect example of how your setup really can f*** owners over.
I agree, what Gom has is absolutely retarded. But, I told Gom that weeks ago and he can't change it. But I'm glad that more people agree with me that it was a stupid idea.
For the record, the league I'm in values holds, as well as ERA, WHIP, and K/9. If you look at the past 2 years, they have all been pretty good. Obviously it's my own fault, but it's not like it was an idiot move.
Does anyone else have George Sherrill in any of their leagues? Single handedly brought me from being tied 9-9 to being down 10-7. In 1/3rd of an inning and less than 20 pitches.
