  1. I thought about doing it as the draft started, but I figured that nobody would care. This would be an interesting stat, but we all know that there's no chance in hell that Suns made his picks faster than me.
  2. I'll look through the NFL stats and come up with the average amount of time taken to draft. It'll take me awhile, but I'd be surprised if you were anywhere near my time. I might have been one of the ONLY players never to have been skipped.
  3. Not. Even. Close.
  4. So that means the I'll start the Draft Thread so that I can edit it whenever.
  5. We should have an "Ital for moderator" campaign. I'm clearly kidding, but I'd be fine being the draft commisioner.
  6. I was talking about Bills players. I had Byrd (and Evans) and Ytrb has Posluszny.
  7. Dipre, while he may be a troublemaker in other aspects of the site, hasn't been whining constantly about how he got "screwed" in every draft. Dipre started off the original MLB draft before he got too busy and handed his team off to bsox. While Dipre hasn't had experience in the voting and power ranking, I'd trust his judgment and voting over yours. In addition, I think having Dipre would add to the challenge and make it more competitive, while your team would inevitably fight for last place.
  8. That'd hurt you too. There's a reason why you're the only one on an island here.
  9. I can't wait until he reads that.
  10. Good idea.
  11. I'd love to see a baseball one with a salary cap. Also will it be in the future or for this coming year?
  12. Russia didn't even qualify for the 2010 world cup.
  13. Boston22407 had a thread about an NHL redraft, but only a few people were interested.
  14. "Can" and "Will" are 2 totally different things. I'm sure that Rob Ryan could shut down a Tom Brady team, but I highly doubt that he'd do it again if he had the chance, especially on a neutral field. I think he's a decent choice for a coach, but saying that he'd shut down an offense like Kilo's (which is one of the best in the league) is foolish, ignorant, and an insult to Kilo's team.
  15. Only if you consider "screwed" as putting a team that should be 2nd to last, in last place. Even you yourself said that you had a below average team. You shouldn't be surprised that you had a low ranking when you gave up partially through the draft and started taking Browns players. Are you also saying that you got screwed in our fantasy baseball league for finishing in dead last? You didn't put much effort into this and it showed. Heck, you didn't even know what a 3-4 and 4-3 defense were. How do you expect to do well, let alone win this thing when you are among the least knowledgeable on the sport? You didn't get screwed in anything because you had a bad team in the baseball and in the football leagues. The only way you could possibly get screwed is if you didn't deserve it, and you're the only one that thinks that you didn't deserve it.
  16. I definitely factored that in too. I don't think that LT was a good pick either, but he's not the primary back, so I put that around the same amount I would have penalised Divinity for Kris Jenkins being perpertually injured. That said, Steven Jackson is only a year younger than Michael Turner, and MJD is the youngest of the 4 backs. But the main point is that age isn't equal between positions.
  17. There's a difference between positions. For example, the longevity between a Running Back is totally different than the longevity of a Kicker/Punter. Unless the QB is running a lot, or has a horrible offensive line, they aren't getting hit as much as WR's are and generally last longer. In all fairness, I'm not a big Ochocinco fan anyway, but his age doesn't help. I'm not so concerned about Wayne's age as I am people on your defense (Ray Lewis for example).
  18. This was the hardest matchup for me to decide, not only because it's the 8 vs. the 9, but because I put both of these teams a bit higher in my power rankings.
  19. Some players are even married to their part of a scheme (ie left defense end vs. right defensive end etc) but I'm probably one of the only ones that got THAT picky when picking my players. And in addition, it matters with some positions over others. I think it's a big deal to match your D-line and LBS to your scheme, but I wouldn't worry about it with one's secondary. I don't think it's a huge deal for this round, but it may present itself as a factor in later rounds.
  20. If this was right now, then I'd probably take Divinity's team, but I think the 3 years part is going to hurt him as Wayne, Ochocinco, Ray Lewis, Champ Bailey etc age. I also get the vibe that Divinity built his team like a fantasy team, but he built a much more rounded team than Boston22407 did. I think that Coco has the better defense with his impeccable linebacker play, and I think that Divinity has a lot of better offensive pieces (2 of the better running backs, a better TE, and a better QB even if he is a total pansy) The problem is that I think Divinity's WR core is aging and that Flacco might pass Romo in a few years. In addition, I think that Coco's defense will be able to keep up with Divinity's offense, and in 3 years I'm not sure if Divinity's defense can match Coco's offense. If this was a contest to see who had the better team now, then I'd pick Divinity's team, but in 3 years I think that Coco's team would win.
  21. While I don't necessarily agree with a lot of what YH said about his offense or defense, I still think that he'd beat MSU's team. Kilo did do a good job salvaging MSU's draft, and in my opinion brought MSU's team up a few ranks. That said, I think YH's defense will win him the matchup. I think he set up his 3-4 defense well, and while I don't think it's the best defense in the league, or even the best 3-4 defense, you can tell that he picked his players well for his scheme, and his defense is complete, from lineman to the secondary. MSU does have some good offensive talents, and while I don't think YH's offense is good enough to light up MSU's defense, but I think his offense can score enough points to let his defense comfortably win the game. I'm not sure who faces who in later rounds, but if YH does face Y228, then I'm definitely going to get my popcorn ready.
